The Three C's - Coffee, Clothes & Credit Cards

  • Finished the day within calories. Started my fast a little bit earlier today as its early start tomorrow morning.

I made the decision today to close some of my savings pots. So my sinking fund is now in one pot and will just get refilled as it's spent. Credit card pots have been merged into one with a goal to have it gone by July when Virgin 0% ends. This will also tie in with my mortgage rate ending. I also did away with the month ahead pot and put that into the emergency fund. Whilst it's a nice idea I want to wait until I have paid off all my debt and then I will solution any extra between mortgage overpayments and long term savings. I've also increased EF to £2k goal. Feels easier to manage with less pots.

  • I keep wondering about that. I have lots of pots & it seems like I am stretching myself too far sometimes, trying to put money in each one every month

  • Yes and it's working out which to prioritise. I think it depends on what your goals are. For me my sinking fund is fully funded so now it's a case of keeping it that way as I spend it. Whereas if yours isn't it might be a case of prioritising those that are due first.

  • Happy hump day.

Wednesdays are always such a long day for me. I didn't fancy my noodles at lunch so ended up buying a sandwich and twirl. It definitely helped me get through the day so £5 well spent from my personal spends. I also took £10 cash out which again came from personal spends.

Popped to Mr T on way home, got some bits to get me through rest of the week, spent £16 from groceries. Then ordered some dry cat food on amazon which was £6 from other expenses pot.

Tomorrow is my Friday at work, hoping to finish a bit early as going to have my nails done after work. So that will be £15 from health and beauty pot, and I will need to get some petrol on the way. Probably fill up the tank which is about £60 in my new car.

Not happy with the scales today, I had a day 100% on it yesterday but still somehow up 0.5lb. Just trying to remind myself that it's probably just normal bodily fluctuations. Going to try stay off scales until Saturday now and just focus on calories and steps.

  • Busy day yesterday, straight out the door after I finished work. Went to have my nails done (£15) and had to stop for petrol on the way (£50) which was very low cost to fill the tank from 1/8 of a tank. Nails took alot longer so ended up staying at my friends for dinner and we ordered a Chinese (£12) which was nice but not so good for the weight loss.

Today was my Friday off as well, so had a massage to help with my back (£35) and booked in again for next Saturday. I may have to borrow the money from my emergency fund. I will see how it goes. Popped into home bargains and brought some more vitamins and minerals as ran out.

No plans this evening. Tomorrow is coffee with a friend but that's it. Sunday is costco again with brother and sis in law. The food quality is so much better there than supermarkets for very little price difference. So that will be this weeks main food shop.

Need to try and dye my hair at some point this weekend. But I have a DIY box at home

Yes my sister in law said same thing. Only going again as they want to, my brother will drive which makes it easier for me. I'll probably stock up on meat whilst there

  • Urgh lost my post. Annoying.

Met friend for coffee and cake, stayed for lunch and cup of tea as well. May have gone over the 2hrsn on the ANPR parking. Fingers crossed I was ok. If wasn't will appeal it as 2hrs really isn't long for shopping and lunch.

Went to Asda on way home, used a £10 rewards voucher so moved that money into other expenses pot. Came in handy as brought some skechers on vinted so put it towards them. Need to juggle my pots to find the rest. I did have £2 credit and got another £4 to come this week.

  • Well today was an expensive day for me.

Went to costco again and spent £110, that did include a £21 Xmas present and I now have about a years worth of laundry tabs.

I also took the plunge and ordered some mounjaro injections. Found online discount code to get first dose for £110 via medexpress and have a referral code should anyone be interested. I've seen so many positive things about it on here and social media. It's something I've been debating for a while because over the years I have spent so much money on various diets but also on alot of health issues that occur as a result.

It will mean my debt free journey slows down, but I think long term it will be worth it. I'm still on plan for paying off my virgin card in July but it's going to be my Natwest in Dec next year that I may struggle with. But my credit score is in a good place and even now get constant offers for balance transfers. So if I have to then I will because some things are more important.

  • *yawns*

I was so not ready for work this morning, it feels like the day was very long. Think I will need an early night tonight.

Low spend day today, almost made it without a purchase but needed to get some treadmill oil for my walking mat. So that was £4.99 on amazon.

I finished the last of my fizzy drinks today and now I'm being strict and saying only have it when I'm eating out. I got myself some bottled water from costco and it's made such a difference. Forgot how disgusting tap water is here lol.

Tomorrow will be a spendy day as have to book my train and pay for parking tomorrow ready for Wednesday in head office.

No other plans until the weekend now for me.
