  • I've just been to another supermarket and bought all of the above!

    Starting afresh.

  • Good afternoon

Quiet weekend for me, spent most of it resting due to my back problems. Been given a course of diazepam by the doctors to help. Not sure how much difference it's making though. I did go for my massage on Saturday which helped but a day back at work and feel like I've undone all the good. I have booked another one in for Friday. It's an expense I could do without but it's very much needed at the moment. Hopefully as I lose weight it will ease up again.

Did some food shopping and had a coffee over the weekend but that was it really. I purchased an academic diary on amazon for £5 from my spends. I'm struggling to manage my own diary with works on my phone so be easier to have it written down.

You may or may not have noticed I've updated my signature. I've decided to separate the 2 credit cards back out because with the weight loss injections and massages paying Natwest off by July isn't realistic. I've also been putting the weight loss injections on my natwest card as still 0% purchases until December next year. I paid this month's off but going forward I'm going to save it up in a savings pot and pay it off as lump sum in the end. Might as well gain some interest from it in the mean time.

Also big thanks to triple choc chip for using my referral code I now have discount off my next order. Should anyone else be interested then feel free to use my referral code. Med Express are still one of cheapest at the moment and can be used for new or ongoing prescriptions as long as you can evidence your last prescription from another provider. Code is: J1DZ6G

  • Oh dear. Back pain is never easy to sort. Hope it gets better soon.

I like using a notebook to write down all my spends.  I stare at spreadsheets a lot at work. The last thing my brain wants to do when I come home is...stare at more spreadsheets.

They say that handing over physical cash has more impact on your brain then mindlessly tapping your phone/card.  There's just something about using actual pen and paper to write it all down. I guess it's the same logic.

Thanks its been an ongoing issue for years but haven't had a flare up like this in a long time. Partially my own fault as it's always worse when I've put on weight.

Hahaha yes I use spreadsheets at work as well. But I've mostly got mine sorted now that i'm using a monzo account with pots. But it is true that paying with a card is easier.

  • Good luck with the injection, it has worked well for me. I am 2.5stone down, though have a lot to loose, this is the most I have lost since 2021, and it was such hard work then! Worth playing with the budgets in my opinion!

Thanks I have quite a bit to lose as well if I was to get to a healthy BMI though that's a whole different issue haha. I'm just going to keep going for as long as its feasible and is still working.

So the injections you mention what exactly do they do? I know they are weight loss related but how do they work.

They suppress your appetite and reduce cravings. You feel fuller quicker as it mimics the hormone that regulates blood sugars and appetite.
