another mad email sent.. I did a morries order as mentioned.. it was marked as ready anout 4pm.. it was delivered at 5:30.. all twinkles ice creams (gluten and dairy free) are melted, the meatballs are squished into one big pattie and the sweet potato hash browns are a lumpy pancake.. oddly the small ice lollies which were sat on the ice pack are fine.. the children chocolates mousses and warm.. one big refund incoming.. not impressed with that service today..

DD2 is vacuuming the world.. she has done all visible floor.. I begged so she would do the landing to save my poor old back .. so thats all done now At least 1 child has a purpose.

Best go do dinner and pack ups.

Oh you are all so kind and lovely, feeling a bit fragile at the minute so it is very much appreciated.  I have antibiotics after a phone call with the duty doctor.  I struggled through the paid stuff with my lovely assistant bringing me frequent mugs of hot water and paracetamol every 4 hours.

Chicken in SC for tea, kitchen put to bed, floor swished, packed lunch and overnight oats done for tomorrow.

Happy birthday Valli my dear, and well done DD2 for doing her bit to help Pigpen.

thank you all for your good wishes, much appreciated.

I have pottered about and put things away, and had a sort in the office.  My plan is to put the ikea boxes in the loft, there are 5 of them (only 4 lids though) and they nest when empty and stack when full (vessla) although there are two more in use.  My hope is that they will go when DD does.  Or not.  i loaned them out to my friend when she had her kitchen done.  But given cardboard boxes are hard to get hold of these, i think, are worth hanging on to.  In fact everything under the spare bed is DDs,  She has kitchen stuff and there’s a double duvet, too.  

Car is in for MOT and service tomorrow.  fingers crossed.

Weather set to be fine here until 2pm when heavy winds and rain arrive. Naturally I am aiming to have all outdoor jobs done by that point including giving everyone a really early tea (animal wise that is!)

Asda between 3-5 which could be fun. Cuppa first, then to wake the babes and get on with dailies before work at 8am.

Anyone hear from Mademoiselle? I often think of her when I fling the windows wide open in a morning to air the rooms. As she would say, put on your best smiles today ladies!

Best smile is on!  Morning all.

Have caught up with admin, just to make sure there's enough in the pot till pay day.  Next is washing up the breakfast things.  Today is personal maintenance day, so haircut, facial, dental hygienist and Covid jab.

My smile is a bit shaky, woke up in the night feeling really sick with stomach pains.  I guess this is the antibiotics but I have never had a reaction before.  I really need to be at a meeting at 9.30am and I have the dentist later, going to ring the doctors and see what they say.

Will get a shower and get dressed then try to get to this meeting.  Feeling a bit anxious now too which isn't helping!

Just about to finish the dailies.  I have put the duvet back on the bed as it got a little chilly last night.

Sorry you're feeling grim YL.  I hope you feel better very quickly.

Tired today, so I'll do less than I intended but enough to progress clearing the decks a bit.  My desk is a proper dumping ground and I'd really, really like it cleared by the end of today.  Properly cleared, which means not only the gibble stacked up on it, but sort the In Tray out and file the stuff in the filing tray.  That would be amazing.

The most urgent job though is Freezer Tetris.
