TY for the thread!
Shall I try joining back in again?
Last week passed in a blur. DS was moving out into student accommodation in town on Tuesday so I took a rest day on the Monday and spent the entire day reading so I would have spoons for Tuesday. Then when DS turned up Tuesday we went to MrAl for groceries - I over did it by trying to do some of it myself (Never thought I'd have pain from picking up a pack of hot chocolate!). Then we walked home with him carrying everything, put the shopping away and got stuck in to getting him packed as Ex was coming to move him after work. I didn't do anything more than rearrange stuff in boxes when they wouldn't fit and pointed out where stuff was stored in my bedroom and getting out his crockery/cutlery that were still in the kitchen. But it broke me as I was "on the go" for about 5 hours. I spent Wednesday through Friday recovering by watching stuff on Y0utube. I then spent this past weekend going through all my GP and hospital notes with a highlighter and pen making a note of what's what. I've had so many things going on for so long, and I knew I'd been referred to the hospital for stuff in the past but couldn't for the life of me remember what for. Now I know, and I'm planning on typing up all my notes into a more condensed form (loosing all the "text XYZ sent" and "GHI tests - no action required" entries, plus blank pages, and probably the totally illegible GP notes from back in the 80s which are basically the date followed by squiggly lines) so I can start tackling health problems when they first raise their head from now on! I'll also know my "normal" for blood test results etc so if I notice something is wonky (like my last blood tests showed I was borderline anaemic which is not like me based on previous blood tests) then I can point it out. I'm taking control of my health as things were blamed on my weight for well over a decade, but I've discovered the pains I've been having in my right side every couple of months about a week before my period since I was a teenager back in the 90s which felt like someone was stabbing me - that was multiple cysts on my fallopian tube which also caused that side to be filled with fluid. I am no longer wondering why DS is an only child.
Today I've dealt with a large spider in the bath, broke the shower (I tried to swap the hose from a short one to a long one to make showering easier for me and at first I cross threaded it, and now I just can't get the thing to connect - DS is going to fix it either tomorrow or Wednesday when he next comes round), ordered my prescription, been jabbed by the nurse and had my dressing changed (I wish this last pinhole would close up already!) with Friday being my last jab I'm looking forward to having a lie-in on Saturday, paid a bill, and sorted through mount paper that was taking over my desk (mainly paperwork belonging to DS which needs to be filed), took dry laundry off the maidens ready to put away (5pm job due to how long I've been sat here at the desk, I need to stand and move for a bit), dealt with the dog multiple times, had lunch and caught up with DS via text.
The rest of todays list (I'm trying to be good and not do too much):
- Feed dog again
- put dishes away
- wash more dishes
- S&S kitchen (bare minimum)
- More tuna for tea in some form
- TV off at 7pm so I can do night routine
- Bed 8pm to read for an hour or so
- Make sure alarms are set for 7am tomorrow!I'm going to try and remember to log back in tomorrow, I have a feeling its going to take a while to get back into that habit lolCreeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!8 -
Evening ladies
Busy day at the paid stuff, even though it’s from
home I didn’t seem to get a break and when I did I was doing laundry / making tea / washing up!
Broken night last night with the wind blowing a gale so hoping for an early night tonight. Cottage pie and Yorkshire puds in the oven.
I am definitely up for both card swap and SS this year 🎅 xx
Have lovely evenings all xx9 -

So it seems that I have got a UTI, the pain is awful and I feel shivery and headachy. Haven't had one for years, think I might ring the docs in the morning and see if I can get antibiotics.
But the washing has been brought in and I have very half heartedly hoovered downstairs and made the bed. I am now under the heated blanked.
Great to hear about your adventures HB I would love to do something similar!10 -
*Healing vibes* for you YL, and I hope you get the opportunity to do something that you find as fulfilling as I did. If all goes to plan - Offa's Dyke next year at some point I hope, but I do want to do those last 25 miles of Hadrian's Wall first. So, inevitably I didn't get anything like everything done that I wanted to, but that's what the rest of the week is for, isn't it? I managed the vet, the shopping, the long dogwalk and made supper, and that was it. Absolutely no time for anything else at all, although the dog sitting arrangments were sorted for a theatre trip to Bath next month, so that's a niggle I don't need to pay any more attention to.Onwards and upwards.Better is good enough.9

Both sofas and the radiator cover pulled out and vacuumed beneath. So gross and dirty! Found a handful of my favourite cutlery that have been lost for months. And also, one huge house spider. Yuck! I hate them, but I won't kill them. Called him a good boy and spoke nicely to him as I was collecting him in a glass. I find it helps deal with my fears if I go out of my way to verbalise nice things. Even persuaded DS who is very scared of spiders to have a look and told him how cool it was. My aim is to minimise the amount of fear he picks up from me and carries forward through life.Married 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.

I fling them over the wall so they go bother the neighbours lol.
The boy spiders have 'blippers' on the front of their head.. the girls do not as theirs are under the body.. in case you need to know the gender of your spid. We like to examine them but have to evacuate them otherwise Percy thinks they are delicious.. or Pudding.. or Pumpkin.. or Nutkin... or Treacle.. or Naughty Norris... Polly just ignores them.
Pack ups and dinner done..
I need more snot drugs.. I am sure it's not that long since I snaffled the last lot..
