Afternoon (only just!) all.
Hope you got some sense out of the Doctor, YL - it sounds as if you could do with bed rest for a couple of days xx
Don't get lost in the depths of your freezer, HB! x
This morning I have
- wrapped up and labelled the two GF lemon drizzles that I made yesterday, put one in the freezer and left the other on the DR table to be delivered tomorrow
- loaded the DW and WULTD what else wouldn't/couldn't go in
- S&S'd the kitchen
- helped J the gardener for an hour by chopping up the branches that he was cutting down, and filling our green bin
- put away quite a lot of paperwork, with more to follow
DH has just brought me a mug of coffee and is now hoovering the LR
This afternoon I too have the joy of a dental check-up, Rosie will want her walk, and I shall collect more sweet chestnuts while we're out (must remember to take a carrier bag with me) - a lot have come down in the strong winds, and I'm not leaving them all for the squirrels, who are fat enough already!

Late to the party today!!!Seems I’ve missed some posts too.
Belated birthday wishes Valli
Healing thought YL
i like the thought of putting your best smile on…I shall endeavour to do this!!Not much flying done today and not much ‘kitchen’ flying either!!Done my dailies this morning so at least the house was ‘guest’ ready ( not that we have many)
and then off I pootled to my keep fit class….if abs were built on laughter I’d be on Sports Illustrated's cover!!!Our rain and bad weather has not materialised and we have glorious sun with a brisk breeze so a laundry load is currently on.
We are still stuck at 3 chairs covered for the kitchen as dh had to help ds with brickwork yesterday 🙄.
I had to do a quick turnaround this morning to take mam for her covid jab…..what a shambles. It’s in a new ‘mass’ vaccination centre (read empty department store in town) we queued standing for an hour!!!! An hour!!!! Granted there were chairs but not enough as they’re doing the elderly, clinically vulnerable, who need the chairs and health workers… I was not impressed!I think work wise I’ve written today off. I’m just going to organise our evening meal and do the kitchen floor……after a cuppa.
Best smile ready for tomorrow.

Freezer sorted. There were quite a few boxes of breadcrumbs that we didn't need and some gravy that frankly wasn't very nice so there's now that space in there. Made enough space to fit all the stuff in that needed to be crammed in, which is what it was all about really. Glad it's done, and I've got an up to date list of food in there. In all honesty I don't think we need to be food shopping for a couple of weeks. Also sorted out the cupboard under the front steps - Belovéd has been bunging stuff in there without bothering to make space for it while I was away. All tidied away so there's room to move in there now.Masses of washing up done, masses of stuff chucked and the kitchen compost bin emptied. I don't think the neighbour will be transferring out brown bin contents to his in 10 days time - there's two heavy bags of gibble in there already and plenty more to come. And I've filled up the shared garden waste bin for next week's collection. On a roll here.Better is good enough.7

Re-joins gang after very enjoyable few days away with Mr N and BIL. Now must get back to real life with no more trips planned other than visiting Mum in a couple of weeks.
Welcome back HB.
Valli belated happy birthday.
Had 2 bits of news while away: good news is that my appeal against the parking fine when I took Mr N to hospital was upheld (sorry I think I posted that already so it must have come just before I went away). Bad news was the death of step-BIL; not entirely unexpected but sad for step-sis and family.
Suitcase unpacked.
Bird feeders filled.
Greenhouse checked, tomatoes picked, watered.
Sweet corn picked - not very big although those we had for dinner this eve tasted ok.
One load of washing done.
Went to dentist as new night guard didn't seem to fit; they agreed it wasn't mine so have taken a new imprint and will order another.
Still wading through paperwork for my pension stuff, another letter scanned and sent to finance guy.

My mothers elderly pupper has crossed Rainbow Bridge today.. DS1 found her in 2009 as a puppy about 4 months old.. she was super naughty.. She will be fondly remembered.. run free Kit (aka that b@st@rd Dog) ..
I'm supposed to be in the shower but I have many snots and need to wash my hair.. and have a drink and maybe some ice cream needs eating.. I had flapjack for dinner.. it's just solid porridge right?! lol.. I can't recall when I last ate an actual meal..
