Morning ladies
I hope you are all safe and well this morning.Blowing a gale here - meant to calm down from 60mph to 30mph at around 9am so the animals will have to wait until then for brekkie. Today consists of paid stuff, collecting DS from footie, a simple pasta tea and, if I have enough GUAG, decluttering through some boxes in the bottom of my wardrobe. They are mainly photos and I am wondering why we lugged them here in the house move given that we never, ever look at them. They at least need sorting through and the good ones keeping to go into albums if I am so minded.
Have fab days all xx8 -
Lovely and calm here, bin still upright so that’s a plus…probably helps that it’s not full so all the weight is in the bottom. Car passed MOT after some tlc involving the exhaust among other things and surgery to my purse *wince*.
I need to find my paypal password as some money is in there that shouldn’t be, and needs moving to a fundraiser.
i did a washload last night…v. proud of self as i was knackered by 9 pm because i’d slept badly the night before and had to get up early to take my car in. i had a work errand during the day which i had to do on foot, then i walked to get my car later so i had had some exercise.
im hoping to get some flying done today…right now, though, I am having my vertical half hour.
Sorry to hear you sad news, Narco. Lovely pic Piggers. Honey Bear…great freezer tetris there!

Morning all. Hope you're doing well today.
Our plans for today are scuppered because DH is full of cold and needs a day to rest. So the most exciting thing will be picking up Poppets flea stuff from the vet. Right, best check bank again. Maintenance day yesterday was expensive especially dentist- £100!
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.8 -
Morning all.
Sorry to hear your news, Narc0 (((Hugs)))
Lovely photo pigpen. May the doggie run free.
Hold onto your hat, asb! We had the gales yesterday, all calm here now.
Ouch Jazee!!! I was lucky yesterday and got away with the minimum charge for a check-up (about £20 less than I was expecting).
I have just paid the decking man, so that was my Ouch!!! for today. However, it was all saved up in advance and didn't have to come out of my tight monthly budget.
I have just booked a tip run for 12.10 today, so my schedule looks something like this:
- shower, dress and breakfast
- S&S bathroom and kitchen, PUPA elsewhere (K is coming to help me tomorrow)
- various other bits of admin
- load the car
- early lunch
- buy a new zip for my dog-walking jacket
- declutter rubbish from garden and shed
- visit friend in horse piddle
- go to Action Heart
- walk Rosie before 5.00pm when rain is forecast
- find something for our main meal (there's most of a cooked chicken in the fridge)
- collapse in a heap and do nothing for the rest of the evening (I've been awake since 5.00am)
Will report back later if I have the energy to do so! Hope everyone has a good/better day, especially YL xxx7 -
I'm amazed at you all having dentists in this day and age! In my county there are no NHS dentistry spaces at all, and I just cannot afford private. My teeth are in a bad way, but I just need to suck it up and hope finances improve enough some day. I'm not in pain so that has to suffice for now.
Today is dust, Sofa wash, and measure for a replacement letterbox as ours is too far gone. I could ask the landlord, but just had a new kitchen tap fitted, and I prefer to stay below the radar with them where possible as I'm scared of asking too much. We're very lucky here as our rent is the same we were paying in 2009 when we moved in! However, that means we've paid £90k+ in rent in that time, and don't even own an inch of the place. It's very depressing to always know how insecure your home isMarried 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.

Quick update from me:
Children away to school, animals fed and washing machine on. Whilst I was outside I spotted our chimney cowl had blown off! I’ll have to get back on the roof when the winds die down to fit it back on, and hope no birds fly down it in the meantime!Found a nice recipe for kidney bean, potato and chorizo stew which I am going to shove in the SC later for tomorrows tea. Right, work call now, back to it! X8 -
Me again. My dentist is private and the charge yesterday was just clean and polish. I've been on the NHS waiting list over five years now. Think they're taking the mickey really.
Poppet has had her walk and we've picked up her tabs.Spend less now, work less later.8 -
Bin men have been, all last bits of rubbish were put in the bin before that came. Washing on the line, last lot of washing ironed and airing on the maiden. WUALTD, water pot from side of bed and toot glass from bathroom (not that it’s actually glass) and at food mat and pots washed. rabbit water changed and food container topped up from sack in shed. Roses from friends watered, took the advice of one of them and added bleach to water…blooms opened now and no drooping heads…

House looks much better. Forecast is for a dry day tomorrow so hoping towels with line dry. Tummy gurgling; loperamide taken. Calendar updated/matched with diary. Need to write birthday card for great nephew and assess what DIL getting, another shared birthday. Both Vallikids and DiL share birthdays now, with other family members, as does my best friend…
