So lovely to have you back HB xx
YL please please ring the docs first thing and get some ABs. In the meantime hot water bottle, pain killers and lots of fluids xx
Just finished binge watching Reacher. Absolutely loved it, and a treat for the eyes too 😉.9 -
Thank you for the thread Valli, it seems busier this week.
I had a busy day yesterday flying, mostly scrubbing windows but I feel I am making headway doing one thing through the house then going back to do another. Today was up to see Mum this morning who was sat out in a chair which was the first time in nearly 6 weeks, still treating her with antibiotics and a nebuliser but she was definitely more with it today which was positive. DH and I then walked in to town as there were a couple of bits I needed and a trip to the bank for my cash for the month. We added a sneaky drink in one of our old favourite pubs that has just reopened. Came back and had a nap then did dinner and finished the hoovering through the house.
Tomorrow is back at the paid stuff so will try and do some of the smaller jobs on my new list (does anyone know how to make the picture smaller?)Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!8 -
i have WUALTD and stacked the DW and the complex plumbing set up under the sink leaked again, i’ve sorted it I think.
i have ironed what was washed and dried on Saturday and that’s on the maiden airing. brought in todays washing…not bone dry but dry enough to iron and air. Posted ebay parcels and dumped stuff at CS though i’ve a feeling i already reported that.

ooh Kaz… a spreadsheet ❤️
much better night…just woken up. Will go back to sleep though, now i’ve caught up with the thread
Flamingo.. kudos for not passing on the fear. Though my daughter developed her spider fear after starting school…i think she succumbed to peer pressure there. Reminds me.. Poppy caught and ate a crane fly the other night…and DD fed her dreamies ‘to take the taste away’. I would suggest that Poppy will have learned that dreamies can be earned by eating crane flies but i’m not sure she’s intelligent enough to make the link.

Morning all. Welcome back returnees and hope you are better soon YL.
I do like your chart Kaz. I may create something similar from these lists.
Yesterday before going out I mopped all the hard floors in the house. While out, I didn't go on any roundabouts although DGD2 did, but I did get wet on a boat ride, went on soft play, climbed a fort, went down numerous slides........
Today, I am out again. This time a girls day out for me and DD. We're going to see Barbie then going on a ghost hunt in York.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.9 -
Happy Birthday Valli xx
Morning all xx
Back to work today, so I'm up, dressed, made my bed, packed my lunch, eaten breakfast, and I'm supping my brew.
I'll feed the birds and put out the recycling before I pootle off.
Hope you all have a good day

Morning all
@kazmeister that spreadsheet is smashing. Mine just pen and paper as I’m inept at the computer.I’ve got a ceramic sink. I second the bleach and you can also get a fab shine with Ace bleach (green bottle). I usually soak my dishcloth in bleach and ace bleach ( the fumes are fine) and then clean the sink.CIF is also excellent.
todays list
morning dailies
1 load of laundry
off to kettlebells
call to bank for cash ( what’s that 😱)
clean shower room - it’s Tuesday!decide on dinner for this evening 🤷♀️
kitchen hotspot - dh is recovering the kitchen chairs with pleather from the range. £24 it cost, enough to cover 6 chairs and 2 spare The last lot peeled.Right off to start the day…..Grocery spends £193.44/ £70 per week or £303 per month9 -
Happy Birthday, Valli, and Many Happy Returns of the Day xx
Sounds like you had fun yesterday, Jazee
dollypeeps, I bought a similar material (possibly from the same chain) to re-cover our s/h kitchen chairs 15 years ago, and they are still in good condition
DS1 has already called in on his way to work, to borrow something and collect a coffee cake that I rustled up for him late last night (cake was in freezer, so was butter icing, just needed glace icing, walnuts and cherries on top) so I got a hug
I have tidied the kitchen and taken out the recycling, opened all the curtains and PUPA in the LR and DR.
S the decking man is coming back at about 11.00 if the rain stops. Someone has taken away most of the old decking from outside the back gate, and I can manage the rest myself so that will reduce S's bill
I have another appointment with the chiropractor later this morning and may end up going out for coffee or even lunch with a friend. Otherwise I need to go shopping in the market town - I need pyjamas and there is an Mr&mrS there, also a Housebase where I should be able to get some big saucers to go under the patio pots so that hopefully the new decking will last longer than 10 years. And Rosie will want a walk sometime.
Have a good day - see you all later xxx8 -
Waiting for my lift. I have changed bedding and sofa throws so washing is whirring, walked Poppet, done dailies and hoovered through.Spend less now, work less later.9

Morning all,
Away for 4 days at my lovely niece’s wedding, and so much to catch up on!
First of all - Happy birthday, Valli 🎂
GWS wishes to all the poorlies, looking especially at you, YL - please get the ABs asap. Double if they will let you (my GP did) so that you have some spare for “the next time”.
Welcome back to all returners, especially a Big Welcome to HB, you have been much missed, but what a fabulous trip and achievement.
Kaz - gotta love a spreadsheet 💕. I have started a new notebook - don’t worry, I have plenty more - and have lists on the go again.
So, back to reality for me. Work yesterday, first talk with the “new boss”, who won’t be my boss for long, as my work will all move. Thinking about my future options, but none of them seem to put a sum of money into my bank account each month…
Day off today, bedding has been changed, the wm is running with what was to be the first load, but as the heavens have just opened, it may be the first load. The kitchen is all but finished, so today DH and I are supposed to be working together to start moving back in from the boxes all around the house. This may not result in absolute harmony, I may end up doing the ironing instead!
Wm just finished, first job is to unload that and find somewhere to drape it.
Love to all x7
