Does anybody know how long this offer is running for?

It's been running since 21st September how much longer would you like ?

It can be pulled any day so no one knows when

Yeah, I got both my incentive confirmation text and the £200 payment today, four days after the switch completed. Have to say for me, and it's my first time doing a switch, it did not go smoothly and was a bit stressful as when the switch completed the final transfer made the old account overdrawn, and in trying to sort this out the old closed account is now in credit. But I'm not out of pocket (in fact I gained £200) so I've stopped worrying about it.

Legitimacy - You really think that the likes of Martin Lewis would be mentioning such bank switch offers if there was anything dodgy about them?  I mean does it say in any bank's T&C that switching continuously would be counted as fraud? Please try to use a bit of common-sense.

Free money - If you feel free money is not worth it, then by all means, don't bother doing the switch and let the rest of us fill our coffers instead.

Length of offer running - So make your mind up - are you in or out? ....As for when the offer ends, well how long's a piece of string? But as someone has rightfully pointed out, this offer has been going since 21st Sept 2023 and there is no end date, but there's always a high chance, like previous banks have done, this bank can also pull the offer anytime.

Never SAID it wasn’t legit. I believe I actually asked:

“Is this legit? Can this be done? Somehow doesn’t feel right to me”

I had just never heard of people opening up spare accounts for switch incentives. So I was simply looking for find out more info…

I have since have done my research…

And yes, I see now that the likes of Martin Lewis and others have talked about the benefits of switching accounts for incentives. 

Lots of information out there also. 

Reason I asked how long this would be running for because I doubt now I would have time to open and account, get 2 DD’s and wait for a debit card to start the switch before time runs out on the offer.

To answer your question 

That took me 15 days to get the direct debits registered on the account then I switched

One thing about switching banks it seems they are like buses, if you miss one it's not long before another comes along

Okay, so lets move on to the switching bit:-

1. Since we don't know when Nationwide will withdraw the offer, I suggest that you go ahead immediately and make an application for Nationwide Flexdirect account. 

2. When Nationwide  ask what date you want the switch from your old to new account, choose the very latest date possible.  I'm assuming you should be able to get a date 3-4 weeks ahead. 

3. Once you've done  this, download and setup the Plum and Moneybox savings accounts on your smartphone as they are app-only and it doesn't take very long for setting up each one.

4. Then setup a £2 weekly DD for Plum/Moneybox to come out of your existing account that you are going to be switching from.
