Yes, as long as £2K is deposited, it can be from anywhere. You can even cycle smaller amounts to reach the £2k threshold, £500 in and out 4 times for example.fletcher1985 said:quick question when it says you must pay in £2000 a month to get free account, I don't earn 2k a month just under can I just move money from my savings to make it over 2k so i don't pay for the account?1 -
Has anyone had any experience with their online ID check? Never been a lloyds customer before so I got asked to do it shortly after applying but I've heard literally nothing after doing so and its past the time frame they said. They said in the email asking for ID to go into branch if you don't hear anything but the whole point of wanting to do it online was to avoid having to go out of my way to a branch so I was hoping it wouldn't come to that.

General question here, apologies if it has already been asked. Just reading some of the T&C's, am I right in thinking that no direct debits are required for the £175 incentive. In theory could I open up a new everyday current account with Santander and just use that account for switching purposes?
How to get the £175 bonus:
- Open the account online, by phone or in branch.
- Switch in an account from a different bank by 14 November 2023.
- The £175 is paid within three working days of the switch completing.

You are correct - No DDs are required for the Lloyds incentive. You can open up a current account with another bank and then switch it straight away* (after you know the debit card number, which is usually only when the physical card turns up)NewMoneySaver13 said:General question here, apologies if it has already been asked. Is it possible that you can make two switches from the same address and claim twice, so essentially a current sole account in my name and then a current sole account in the name of my wife. Or is it only one £175 switch incentive per household?0

It's one switch per person so you and your wife could get £175 each so long as you each switch a sole account and meet the terms of the offer.NewMoneySaver13 said:Is it possible that you can make two switches from the same address and claim twice, so essentially a current sole account in my name and then a current sole account in the name of my wife. Bank accounts belong to people, not addresses. Each person can claim the incentive once, so yes both you and your wife can claim it separately.NewMoneySaver13 said:Is it possible that you can make two switches from the same address and claim twice, so essentially a current sole account in my name and then a current sole account in the name of my wife. Just activated my new Lloyds account. First message is "We notice that you have not viewed your account statement online for a while." I thought they would be smarter than this.0 -

Welcome to Lloyds Banking Group!

Quick question about the £3 fee. I've paid in £2000 last month and this month to avoid the fee. Today a £3 debit has shown up on the account for the monthly fee. Will this disappear off again as I've met the criteria?0
