I did all those as well and i also got the incentive from Lloyds in June. I applied for the current account to get the reg saver and Disney Plus, not expecting to get the switch incentive as I was paid one from Halifax in Msrch, but I did.Volcane said:I’ve done the NWG hatrick, TSB, First Direct and Halifax switches this year…. That's great, yes I used the Lloyds form. Thank you!PRAISETHESUN said:
Yes, if you've used the online form you've initiated a full CASS switch, so you should be good to goworriednoob said:
That's brilliant, thanks. As I completed the CL application, it asked me the details of which account I want to switch from, so it's at this time, I entered ulster details, so I'm assuming I've used CASS?PRAISETHESUN said:
Lloyds does a hard search for the first account you hold with them, but as long as you remain a customer (ie. hold at least one account) all subsequent accounts only require a soft search.worriednoob said:Thanks for the help guys. I've taken the plunge and applied for Lloyds. I'm switching from Ulster Account (which I don't use). The lloyds club account is open, but needs to be activated, so I've got to wait until the passcode comes through the post. Switch will complete on 29/09/23.
According to Credit Karma, Lloyds has done a Hard Search.
Other than this, do I need to take any other action? Such as transferring Direct Debit or need to have any money in the account?
Also how does it work with the 12 mth Disney? I assume if I downgrade the club account, I'll lose any Disney access?
Thanks agian.
Read through the terms I posted on the first page. As long as you complete a switch into your new CL account using CASS, there is nothing else you need to do to satisfy the switch offer.
For the Disney+ incentive, I believe you need to maintain your CL account otherwise you will lose it. It's easy enough to cycle £2000/month through the account to avoid the £3 monthly fee. DDs are only required if you wish to get interest on any savings balance in the account.
I might give the disney a miss as I can't be asked to move £2k per month. I'll be more than happy if I get the £175 as I'm still sceptical that I'll get it due to doing a recent Halifax switch - only time will tell.

That gives me some hope that maybe I'll get the incentive too. Do you know roughly how long after the switch is completed, that Lloyds tend to pay you?0 -
When I switched into Lloyds last year they paid my incentive a few days before the switch completed so it was very quick in my case.worriednoob said:

I’ve just applied too…. I shouldn’t qualify for the £175.00 so will give you an update when I know if it’s a yay or nay…worriednoob said:

I was looking into this to switch my joint account out of Reliance, which is allegedly closing down personal current accounts. There does not seem to be a process to switch a joint account. As soon as I clicked on joint account it took me out of the switch process, and informed me that a joint account can only be opened if both parties already have sole accounts.

Account switching is separate from account opening. You'll need to open the joint account with Lloyds first before you can start a switch - I don't know Lloyds' process for this, but making each party open a sole account first seems fairly common approach for a few banks I've heard. Once the joint account is open then you'll be able to initiate the switch.jbuchanangb said:I was looking into this to switch my joint account out of Reliance, which is allegedly closing down personal current accounts. But I'd still recommend you each take advantage of the sole switch instead - that way you can earn double the incentive. After you get paid the sole incentive, you can make one of the sole Lloyd accounts joint then do your Reliance switch separately.0 -
Received Switch Bonus today. (before the switch was complete)

No way! Congratulations! How's that even possible? Are you an existing Halifax customer?pokemaster said:Received Switch Bonus today. (before the switch was complete)0
