Really disappointed as I was looking to switch from Ulster to Lloyds, but I've only recently switched to Halifax, andLloyds have made it clear in their T&C that if we've already received a switch offer from Halifax, we won't get it with Lloyds.

Still worth trying based on experience..

If they've made it very clear, then not sure if it's worth the hassle.  The risk is that I could switch to Lloyds, creating another credit check and also having to pay the £3 a month fee too and get naff-all.

Rbs group make it clear but everyone got £200 x3. Also club lloyds fee is waived if you just transfer money in and out. I dont pay any fee. Credit check means nothing much in reality
  • Has anybody any actual experience of receiving the bonus in past offers when they shouldn’t have qualified ?
    Best Regards,

Not from LBG but I did get £175 from First Direct despite my having opened 2 HSBC current accounts since 2020. I was also able to accidentally get each £200 from Ulster and Natwest as part of their recent switching offer despite having received £150 from RBS last year.

There were reports for the last Halifax offer that people were paid out the incentive despite having previously taken advantage of a Lloyds incentive in the relevant period. I'm fairly sure that was the first LBG incentive that had conditions for both Lloyds and Halifax, so perhaps the checks aren't quite as good as they need to be.

Personally I'm giving it a go - I'm existing Lloyds customer so opening a second current account doesn't create another hard credit check. Also very easy to get around the £3/month fee for CL accounts.
  • Both myself and Mrs B have both gained switch bonuses from Lloyds & Halifax all within the last 4 months. That coupled with both bonuses from both HSBC/FD it's turned out very nicely indeed so far.

Currently aiming for the NWG hat trick and in the latter stages of the switch process with them.

Well worth a shot I'd say!
