"Fall into Autumn with SW"

I thought I'd posted earlier but seemingly not.I hope you all had a good weekend, @Coxy11 those types of meals sound great but I don't think I have a refined enough palette to appreciate it.So the start of my brand new week, I've put on 13lbs since I stopped SW, I'd like to lose 1st by Christmas but think this is ambitious, as long as I'm lighter I think I'll be happy. I'm following the principles of SW now but will try to keep track of syns as best I can without the app.Food for todayB: overnight oats, blueberries, strawberries and apple. Hex b free/speedL: 3 ryvita, marmite 3 light cheese triangles, toms, cucumber. Muller light yoghurt .5syn ryvita I think 4.5syns hex a

This is what I'm having for dinner tonight, it's really tasty. I'm going to skip the oil and use soy sauce for the salmon marinadeMake £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023

Hope all goes well today and tomorrow @joedenise. 🤞
I find writing things down really helpful @Jellybaby. Well done on drawing the line. You can only change the future but you can try to learn from the past. Do you know what made you fall off the wagon? 🤔
Since I started SW I've prioritised what I want to use syns for at Christmas. I definitely go well over the allowance but make sure I enjoy them all. Mostly it'll be extra bread, crisps, cheese and wine. I'll have a pudding on Christmas Day and I've bought myself some chocolate marzipan. 😋 I generally buy cherry liqueurs too but not seen those yet.
Sometimes it's the eating out leading up to Christmas that's worse especially beige party nibbles. ☹️
Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, scrambled eggs (P), tomatoes (S), HEA milk for drinks
L- cold meat (P), fried veg and pickles (S), potato (F)
D- pork casserole (P, S), rice (F)
Syns - tbc (casserole has honey and port in it but not much)2 -
@maman it's definitely work and trying to fit caring duties in around it all at the moment. Meals were OK it was just everything else I fancied! Got to be grateful though, things could be a lot worse and fingers crossed, another few weeks and it should all be calmer.2

I've been busy batch cooking and finding ways to add veggies into my diet. Today I made sausage casserole, I usually use baked beans, onions and tomatoes - today I omitted the baked beans and used lots of red and green peppers instead. I also made a chicken curry using the SW chip shop curry sauce and have added loads of spinach to that.
Today
B porridge and stewed apple (HEB and 1.5 syns)
L home made leek and potato soup with 5 g wholemeal soda bread (5 syns)
D pasta using Prima cheese from the latest magazine (HeA)
Snacks, fruit, ff yoghurt and possibly a Tunnocks tea cake (5 syns)Debt free and Keeping on Track2 -
Hi everyone,
Hope DH got on okay today @joedenise x
I too am looking forward to the Christmas treats. I especially like Florentines nomnomnom.
Christmas Day is 9 weeks today (you’re welcome!!)
The chilli con carne will be for tonight’s meal as I forgot to defrost the mince yesterday doh! We had turkey jalfrezi instead which could’ve been a bit spicier but DD is a wuss so we stopped at 2 tbsp of curry powder.
I’m in London today and food has been:
B – overnight oats, frozen cherries, mullerlight vanilla – HEB, free, 0.5
L – lo peanut butter chicken pasta, apple, 2 satsumas, grapes – 2, S, free
D – chilli con carne with rice – free
HEA – milk
Syns – hi fi bar plus 2.5 so 5.5 total

It's infuriating when you forget to defrost the meat @Coxy11. 😉
I haven't made the pork casserole in ages and suddenly remembered I had to marinade the meat. It's supposed to be 2 hours and I just left it long enough. The pork cubes had been hanging around the freezer for ages so pleased they're used up. I will make it again, probably the next time I see lean YS pork! 🤣 It was 5 syns (shared) so not too bad.
Well done on getting more Speed and experimenting @MrsPorridge.👍 I make sausage casserole with bacon and onions but I add mushrooms and carrots and sometimes courgettes for extra Speed.2 -

Thanks everyone. DH has now had all the blood tests (again - 3rd time now over the last 2 months), MSRA swab (twice), blood pressure (goodness knows how many times!) - sitting up, laying down, standing up; ECG. Left him at the hospital and got home just after 7pm. He's probably having his op in the morning as he's been told NIL BY MOUTH from 3am and it says fasting for 6 hours before the op.
Apparently he'll see the the Anaesthetist and the surgeon who will be doing the op first thing tomorrow before signing the consent form and having the op. I won't be going back up until the evening visiting as there is limited visiting on the day of op and then he'll be coming home on Wednesday assuming everything goes to plan 🤞.
I chose wisely at lunchtime with char grilled half chicken (skin removed), quinoa and mixed leaves, followed by a doughnut (not quite as wise but still within syns!) so was absolutely stuffed and really didn't need much this evening so just had some fruit and yoghurt.
Just about to have a cuppa. Back tomorrow.
