NornIronRose said:Bubbs I've been checking everything in case I accidentally eat something I shouldn't.
Bought peach slices in juice before I had the app working but now know that the difference in price isn't worth it.
In juice 94p and 3.5 syns for 100g.
In syrup 35p and 3 syns per 100g. No contest.

Definitely a long day @maman and I had to drive home in the dark and I absolute driving in the dark! In fact I haven't driven in the dark since I packed up work in 2010! Don't even go out in the evenings very often. We were in the Eye Department for 3.5 hours! The letter said allow 2 hours so we were expecting to be out by about 5pm but it was gone 6.30pm and then nearly an hour drive home.
The Dr said she thought it would probably be about 3 months before the specialist appointment but she couldn't be certain - it could be a bit quicker or a bit longer so we gave her our dates for holiday as we are away for 2 weeks in January. She did say that his cataract didn't need treating urgently and that was before she'd looked at this eye and seen the weakened cornea which wasn't unexpected as the the optician who referred him said that they may say it doesn't need doing yet.
Good luck to your DH @bubbs with the laser treatment on Thursday.

I'll look for those in Farmfoods @bubbs.
Meant to post that I struck lucky in the Company Shop yesterday. Ocado 5% mince at 70p for 500g so I bought 6. Also, they still had the Aldi pink onions at 60p. They have a long date so no idea why as they're half the price of in Aldi.
Nothing wrong with synning tinned peaches @NornironRose if that's what you want to use them for. 👍2 -
Denise, that's like me i don't like driving in the dark, very rarely go out in the evening, out last night back up early and out early for group, back mid afternoon after a really busy week i said to dh i am knackered, he said not surprised as he knew how busy i had been obviously being here.
Yes fingers crossed for his eye as it is really getting him down not being able to see out of itSealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance:2 -

Fingers crossed that the Stars align and he gets sorted soon @joedeniseMr L finally got to see a consultant last month after a referral 18 months ago , now told at LEAST a 3 year wait for Op. Luckily its not his eyes. Mum was told 5 years for her cataracts , she went privateBubbs, your meals are always amazingingly good, I so wish I had your will powerTonights dinner was pasta with a sauce make of dairy lea lights ( take note @nornironrose , those wee lights can be used in anything where butter or cream would have even used ) and chilli sauce. I used up what was in the bottom of the fridge, 4 crinkly mushrooms, half a floppy red pepper and half a bag of seen better days rocket, and used a piece of hot smoked salmon flaked inAlso found an aubergine looking very sad, so sliced it, a couple of squirts, seasoned with salt and chilli and air fried, was delish as a substitute to garlic bread, I just popped the slices around the outside of the bowl and just speared and let them soak a bit of pasta sauce, The crispy outer skin gave the interest and different texture to what was a pretty soft meal@Nornironrose , no need to be spending money on "diet food" as such. Yes your fruit and veg bill will most possibly increase - mine did as Im a fruit and veg dodger - dont like it- but SW is designed to fit in with the family. Last week for instance I cooked a full Irish for 10, eggs, bacon, sausages, vegetable roll, black pudding, soda and potato bread, along with tomatoes, mushrooms and beans, and I tucked in as well. OK I skipped the sausages, black pud, veggie roll and the breads, but no one noticed. I filled up with eggs and bacon ( fat removed ) and the veggies. Tomorrow before we leave for Dublin airport Im doing breakfast rolls ( instead of sodas ) only mine will be Nevilles wholemeal with just bacon and tomatoes and egg, no sausage ( I refuse to use syns on food unless I really have to ) no butter - dairy lea and a handful of rocket to boost the speedThe baby bells are awful tbh. Give me a block of stilton - BUT, they are things I can shove in a pocket, handbag , in the side pocket of the car, emergency snacks for when its going to be all too easy to grab crisps or a sausage roll. If I want cheese, I have real cheese, weigh it out, and count it as a HEA - skip my coffee that day. So yes I do kind of meal plan and planning your meals is really the total key. Im just always too disorganised to do it religiously hence my very very slow weightlessShovel the speed in. Choose protein as snacks and keep the carbs low and you will be grand . Im just grateful I dont have a sweet tooth so dessert isnt on my radar. The choccie biscuits I admit to shovelling in was for me a total blip, Id go for bread normally . I know there are a lot of sweet treats on the app that use free, HEXA and B foods so have a look and see1

Morning all, it's supposed to be dry and sunny today so loads of washing to be done after all the rain we've had lately although not like those in the north have had, thankfully. First load is in and I've got another load to do plus the bedding. Hoping I can get at least the first couple of loads dry and the bedding can go on the airer if it doesn't dry. Hate having wet washing hanging around but needs must. I'm certainly not using the tumble dryer!
Today's plan:
B - fry up with sausages - P; S; F; 2
L - toasted cheese sandwich, pickles, HM chutney - HEA2; HEB; S
D - lamb shank in mint gravy, SW roast potatoes (hope they're better than the chips!), roasted veg, green veg - S; F; 3 (wanted the lamb shanks in red wine gravy but they didn't have any!)
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - bread
Syns - sausages 2; lamb shanks 3; chewy bar if I fancy it later with a cuppa 4
Have a good day everyone.1
