Send over the reg and the PCN number really politely.  Maintain the higher ground and thank them in advance.  Butter them up.

I am wondering if I am missing something here and want to check with you first. Is there any reason I should not give the registration details to them? They are clearly "connected" with the parking group or I am guessing they would not be able to "check"? They certainly remembered our phone call as per the email response so would the woman not remember if she messaged the parking company? Especially if they have not had trouble with this kind of thing previously? I am sure she would remember if she did or not.
Yes, give them the VRM, if they are possibly to contact CEL, as it is an important reference point. If they're asking for it, they just might be doing something about the PCN, if not, why ask?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

  • @Umkomaas They are supposed to be checking to see if they did indeed send the parking group a message when we called and complained. I am just unsure how someone could forget that unless they deal with a lot of them.

No - it's obvious from their answer that they forgot.  Hence do exactly what I suggested, really friendly and buttering them up.

Perhaps there is more than one person working in this place.
    That's just a guess though.
  • @Coupon-mad When we called them they were genuinely horribly rude and until I sent the email (to get proof of our conversation) we had not had any other contact with them. My email was not the most polite as I was reiterating what they said on the phone- there just was no way to do that and come across as "polite" but my reply with the car reg was just that with a thank you.

Defintiely more than one person there but it is the manager, Wendi, that we spoke to. She actually suggested she was emailing them as she was speaking on the phone. It is also to her that i have addressed the emails to. She was a very unpleasant person on the phone and as i mentioned, just repeated about the signs over and over, no matter what we asked. When it was mentioned that we had been there before, she said "you've been here before?" and then for a moment, we thought she would be more reasonable and that is when she said she would let them know and began typing but then she said that if we had been before we knew about the signs..... She absolutely refused to accept that last time, we sat down and had a meal and we were asked for our car details.

Just between us, we only stopped there out of desperation as so few pubs/restaurants are in that particular stretch and less that can accomodate any dietaryrequirment. The meal we had the year before was fine but everything else was poor and our daughter really did not want to go there at all. We should have followed her lead....

  • The manager of the pub has replied to my message saying that creative car parks has said that as we have gone to Popla for help with this they are not able to do anything. She has again refused to say if she sent them a message when we spoke on the phone as she said she was doing. She clearly didn't or I am sure she would have said she did.
