That was almost the best bit - having had that conversation I then continued to ask about working the extra half day I need to do this Friday instead of Monday - if the "forgetfulness" over Friday 2nd had been genuine, surely she would have said that I could just finish on Thursday - using my 1.5 days remaining holiday and being given the extra half day? You will not be surprised to hear that this did NOT happen though!  She has at least OK'd me working the half a day on Friday - and I made sure to say that I was sure that if she changed plans and finished at midday on 23rd instead she'd be sure to let me know so I got that half day back... but I will be checking that with my colleague, too!
That's a shame she didn't wave the half day. I'm glad you mentioned the 23rd and be sure to check with your colleague incase madam forgets

Nothing BM, she's just being her usual cowbag self! Honestly - she gets off on throwing her weight around and being spiteful - when lovely Mr Boss was here it was fine as firstly she wasn't as brave at it when he was here because she knew he'd call her out for it, and second she just wasn't here as much! Now he's not though, she's got worse than ever. MrEH worked in the same organisation as her years ago and apparently even then she struggled to keep support staff for more than a few months at a time because they would either leave, or refuse to work with her any more.
