Hard mode is just where your answers have to include your previous letters that are definitely in there and can't include previous letters that definitely aren't @Willowtree222, so you can't put a random word in to get more letters knowledge. It's quite good as it stops you wasting a go by putting in something that can't be right by mistake, but takes away the option to gain more helpful info by using up a go4
