My final bill arrived seven days after switching. Octopus, say it can take up to 4 weeks to get your £50.

Your 1st payment be it DD or as in my case putting my credit back on the account will trigger the £50 credit

Yes that will work if you are that desperate for it. I put my credit back on when I got it refunded. To me I got it when I got it. And was in no rush to

Well it’s 23 days since switch was confirmed and no final bill.
DD has gone out of my bank account for Octopus but doesn’t show on my account with them ( also had DD taken from Shell 5 days after my switch was confirmed so feels like two payments this month)0 -
Hmm messaged Shell said they’re waiting to hear from Octopus 🤷🏻♂️0

Friends of ours used our referral code to switch from Shell to Octopus, they applied on 29/11 and agreed Ts&Cs on 01/12. Today they rang to ask what was happening and were told the £50s would not be paid as this "loophole" was closed from 01/12.
They are not very happy as first DD already taken.
Will alert them to check their final bill from Shell.0 -

That's why some of us were shouting as hard as we could to get Shell customers to get this free £50 ASAP. At some point there was going to be a cut off point and it sounds like you and your friends have missed out not acting sooner from the threads and messages on here.

I referred a shell customer and they signed up on 29/11. On my referrals it's says their join date is 29/11 and under Payment Status it says "switch in progress - 1 January 1970"
Their first DD hasn't been taken yet0
