Interesting info on saving session workings from Octopus in the t&c's - average consumption for the same period(s) of up to 60 days of your recent smart meter history: -
Without going back and reading through the methodology, I believe the formula allows for missing data, so uses consumption for the last 10 days with useable data within this limit. The key difference is of course the absence of the infamous in-day adjustment this time. I noted also that they reserve the right to initiate sessions that aren't part of the DFS.

Registration not open yet? pretty sure was by this time last year.

Actually someone please share the link, if I remember right not everyone was given the link last year (seems same problem for me this year) and I only really got to register by someone providing the link.

If you opt in to Octoplus it will all be through that and the app, apparently.

I dont have the opt in link, thats the issue, can you please share it?

I seen a screenshot of where it should be but it isnt there, its like earlier in the year when I was missing the change tariff link.

Otherwise I guess I can ask them to opt me in on twitter.

  • Just seen that Ofgem had formally approved this years DFS scheme last week - looks like we’re officially all set to go ahead as expected with events starting anytime from now

    Thanks for the update.

We are certainly going to do our bit even if the rewards are not what they were.

Not worth it for us, our normal use during the day is 50w and no in day adjustment any more.  If only I could use export then it would work great but there is a problem with my export mpan not being registered on the meter and my supplier has no interest in sorting it out.
    I think....

I received my 'Beat the peak' (EDF) e-mail invitation a few days ago. If anybody is interested here is the registration link ... https://www.edfenergy.com/beat-peak-2023?utm_source=awsses&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=acq23&utm_content=beatthepeak1&utm_term=seg_1

I believe I was invited because I have a smart meter, opted to have 30-minute reads and opted in to marketing e-mails.

I personally am not going to register for it as the gain for me is likely to be very little when the cost of disruption to my lifestyle is too high.
