I used a massive total of 0.012kWh over the previous 10 (non weekend?) days. A nice 0Wh during the event but did manage to export 2.52kWh. Not sure they'll round up that tiny bit of wattage to £1 so expecting zero reward from import. Export hopefully should be around £5.50 as my system is usually "leaking" around 0.012kWh back to the grid.Barnsley, South Yorkshire

I know I used 30wh between 5 and 6 yesterday.
I was thinking of shifting my Sunday half price energy saving usage with BG to doing my batch cooking every few evenings instead, to try and boost my average baseline. But with the £1 round up for the sessions I don't think it will make much difference, and there's always the chance I will miss time any sessions anyway.0 -
I had an Air Source Heat Pump installed last month, now I have an email from Good Energy asking if I want to sign up to "Power Pause", ie the Demand Flexibility Scheme. The ASHP runs througout the day to maintain a steady temperature in the house (which is the most efficient way of using it) and most of my cooking is done in the microwave.I do two lots of washing a week usually during the daytime, and either line dry it or use the tumble drier depending on the weather.
As such, I can't really see any benefit to my signing up to the Scheme because there's no way to make any noticeable changes to my power usage except for deliberately running the washing machine and drier during the Baseline calculation period to jack up the readings!
Unless there's anything that someone else can point out that I've missed...?if i had known then what i know now0 -

*Actually just dropped the temp down to 14℃, which turned it off for that short period.0 -
@QrizB and @Spoonie_Turtle Thanks for the replies.I was thinking that just dropping the thermostat would be the simplest way of "switching off" the ASHP.I'm just a bit puzzled, because my supplier (Good Energy) says "If you managed to take part in all 12 events and you saved 1kWh on average per event, we’d expect to credit you around £2.55 per event."That is confusing, because why does it start by talking about "all 12 events", but then say "£2.55 *per* event"?Have either of you saved/ been credited with that amount for each event?if i had known then what i know now0

I don't know why your supplier links the credit per event with participating in all 12. You'd have to check the T&Cs to see if it's at all relevant, or just a weird wording.1 -

That's all you have to do and we don't run ours 24/7 just yet and looking at the longe range forecast probably not for a month+
Out of interest how many kWh are you using each day running yours 24/71 -

Out of interest how many kWh are you using each day running yours 24/7It's a bit difficult to give an accurate figure, because it's supposed to run in full atmospheric compensation mode (ie based on the outside temperature), but for the first couple of weeks, it was running so much that the temperature was getting up to 24 degrees! (The heat loss the installers calculated for the house was higher than what it was actually losing)I tried turning down the setting in AI (learning) mode, however that didn't really have much effect, so I'm currently using the thermostat to control if it's on or not which isn't the most efficient way of doing things, however the installers are really busy at the moment and they want to get a bit more data on how the system is working before they come in and adjust the curve.Going on the power figures, in the past four and a bit weeks I've used about 400 KWh which is about 0.55 KWh per hour, but that includes the first two weeks, so the actual figures should be lower for the next month.if i had known then what i know now0 -
