Will this give me extra time for my defence? or is it too late regardless?

I did the redirection as i moved house for my job, car has been sold also.

Should i call the court and explain the late submission of the defence? Or should i first wait to see if the claimant has proceeded to judgement?
    - I havent heard anything about judgement or not filing anything in time - would this be postal also?

You've filed a Defence. Nothing more you can do on that score.

As I wrote earlier, and as you know - a postal redirection is not good enough. You have already seen the delays that introduces.

Again as I wrote earlier - make sure the court and other party have a good serviceable address for you.

You are in a very much time critical process. There is no flexibility.

Yep I understand - the address is an annoying situation (i still own the house to my old address, i rented it out so i could move for my job relocation) so i am still forwarding for other purposes

Is a CCJ being issued on a completely different date to the claim form date?
I just wish to know whether my last resort would be paying within the 30 day limit of a CCJ being issued so it becomes cancelled.
How do I know the date that a CCJ is issued? (if they issue one against me)

And if they don't accept it, is my best course of action to contact the solicitor and pay the total amount on the claim form?

    Yes of course.
    CCJ = County Court Judgment.
So a 'CCJ date' is clearly not the date the Claim was issued.

The court will write to you. They will not be rushing to write to you.
Your mail handling processes - i.e. mail redirection taking a couple of weeks - could well mean you miss the opportunity of avoiding a County Court Judgment lasting six years on file.

I have checked my credit report and there are no judgements on there currently.

Can i call the court or claimant's solicitor immediately for any resolution?
Or can i at least call the court to find out if a CCJ has been issued? What would the CCJ letter contain such that I cannot resolve it without calling them directly?

I know i have messed up, your last words their definitely does not settle the mind

Commercial credit reports take at least a couple of weeks to be updated.

At this stage the first place to show a judgment, if issued, would be your MCOL Claim History.

I posted my MCOL claim history from 21st July in this thread and it wasn't on there.
If i consistently check the claim history and it appears - am i able to still resolve things without receiving the letter?

Am i right in saying I'm still able to cancel the CCJ if I pay in full up to 30 days after the CCJ is issued?
    What are my next steps?

    You don't have a CCJ.

You say you have filed your defence. As long as you got an email auto-receipt then it is in. You do not need to ring anyone. Your defence is in.

YOU MUST DO WHAT KEITHP TOLD YOU TO DO. That is your next step.  Really important.
