I think all of Wilkie Collins are on Project Gutenberg (UK) as they are out of copyright.5

I'd not heard of Wilkie Collins, but my bosslady was tossing about the idea of a bookclub the other day & I might just mention this author to her 🤣4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! Plenty of snow here! ☃️
I'd read the big two @Cheery_Daff but this was my first short story. It's Rudyard Kipling next time.

That's good to know @peb - thank you 😊
We have a short story book club @rtandon27. It's soo much easier to accommodate and we've read some very well known authors as well as some more obscure ones. It's my favourite group and has become so popular we can't accept any new members at the moment.

It's been largely dry here for the last few days - even had a little sunshine. Can't wait for some Spring weather to arrive.

Sunny spells and scattered showers 🌦
The weather and how today feels 😆
On the upside -- I walked the boys this morning and did 50 minutes low impact aerobics
- we had Breakfast Egg Wraps and there's enough filling left to have savoury pancakes for lunch tomorrow (it being Shrove Tuesday and all). We've just had lunch - Parsnip, Leek, Apple & Mustard Soup with buttered sour dough bread. Supper will be Cauliflower, Paneer & Pea Curry with brown basmati rice (left overs from last night).
- bread is baking in the breadmaker and
- I've got one load of washing done
- the boiler is still plodding on and the hot water seems to be working properly again
- Boiler Man has sent a response to my long list of queries and everything looks ok
- I worked out how to accommodate currency exchange differences in our accounting system
- it's likely we'll be able to draw our first (small) dividend from the company before the financial year end to take advantage of the personal tax allowances on dividends
- I'll be getting paid some salary at the end of March
- we went green laning in the truck yesterday and saw some amazing views in the valleys around Snowdon.
- we still have an invoice outstanding from before Christmas. It seems the client has a pay run each Wednesday so, if we don't receive payment this week, I'll be chasing them up... again 🙄
- no one from the garage has got back to me. I 'phoned Thursday and Friday and left messages and am just about to call again 😠
- my glasses are now more comfortable on my nose but are still making my ears hurt. Mr F is going in to pick his new glasses up on Friday so I might have to go in with him so they can adjust mine.
Right - time to make some 'phone calls.

Well done on sorting the exchange differences in the account Fortune - it's not the easiest thing to work out. I take it you've found this page. All I do is update these after I've reconciled my bank statement each month and then the system recalculates exchange diffs - assume it's similar for you.
Hope you get the glasses sorted soon - it's horrible when they're not comfortable.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Like you I am waiting for spring. It has been sunny today in the flatlands of East Anglia and at times it has felt like the sun had a tiny bit of warmth to it.Mortgage Free November 2018
