I have found with blood pressure monitors that if you think your blood pressure may well be up - then it will be. I had one that the doctors had me wear for 24 hours. It was a nightmare. As soon as it started pumping up my blood pressure shot up & I was sitting down just reading. The only time it didn't go shooting up was when I was standing up doing the ironing & didn't notice it.

Thanks for the well wishes on the move FS. On the homeward straight now - pun intended.
On BP - I find I take the best of 3. Preferably from the same arm as one arm is usually higher than the other. They ideally want you to take it when you are sitting down - and have been still for half an hour, aren't talking and haven't eaten or drunk for 30 minutes either. Sorry to hear that you have been feeling unwell. My granny taught me how to lower your blood pressure by breathing and feeling calm (basically it’s meditation). It really works in our family but I guess it might not for everyone but if you are worried it might help in the short term.Take care CM6

If I sat still for 30 minutes, just sitting, I would be so wound up, but we are all different.

Yes, it is tricky finding that ideal moment. I'm still not seeing much improvement but I think my monitor might be dodgy. The new one should arrive soon so we'll see what that has to say.

How was January?
I thought I'd do a little round up for the month end:
Health 🧘♀️
I have lost 5lbs 🥳 Which means I -- can bend without my stomach feeling squashed
- no longer have acid reflux
- can (easily) do 50 minutes of low impact aerobics
- feel more comfortable in my clothes
- can do a brisk, one-mile walk around the field and maintain the pace on the incline
Wealth 💰
Fortunate Inc is up and running -- we have a good number of clients
- Mr F is booked for work until the end of May
- planned work either meets or exceeds our monthly target income
- we have been paid 1 invoice and have issued 3 more
- our accountant has helped us plan to smooth out variable income
Happiness 🌞
We're getting used to a new way of being and doing. We're -- planning date days/nights
- looking out for new events and experiences
- working on our health and fitness so we can enjoy the extra time we now have
- preparing to be grandparents
I didn't feel as though we'd got much accomplished this month but I need to remember that focussing on improving my health and resting when necessary is as much an achievement as progressing the business. So I'm considering January a set-up month which has put us in a good place for the rest of the year.
How quickly this month has gone and there are signs of Spring already. Lots to look forward to.

That sounds like an excellent set of achievements for the month Fortune! January is definitely good to have as a set up month, and it sounds like you are standing yourself in good stead for the rest of the year 😊5
