  • The best news is that Mr F has been offered a contract with an organisation he really wants to work with 🥳  It's long term, pays well and will probably start from 1 December.  It means he won't be able to do the contract work Narcissistic Boss wants him to do as there'll be a conflict of interest - which solves that problem.  He'll be able to do other types of work for his current employer but there'll be a different person managing that.  Narcissistic Boss will not be happy - I'll be recording that meeting too 😉

According to the University of San Diego School of Business, 12% of of corporate senior leadership displays a range of psychopathic traits, which means psychopathy is up to 12 times more common among senior management than among the general population.

I believe I have met many of them during my career 😂

There is a wealthy  large % investor in a company i consult for and the way he speaks to the one director (and once to me-only once I now refuse to talk to him)  is truly appalling, rude and yes psychopathic. Apparently he also has been overheard speaking to his sons in the same way. However  I guess his money makes him bearable to them
    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Hooray for Mr F new contract and cutting all ties with stupid boss! I very much enjoy the "epic f*** you money stories" thread on the Mr Money Mustache forum - this definitely sounds like one of those, having enough money saved to be able to just turn and walk away from a rotten situation. Excellent stuff.

This may well be the start of a big boot up the j*cks*e from karma for Narcissistic Boss.  Maybe DH will have chance to explain (uber-professionally, as he would!) to her bosses why and what the h*ll?  With his reputation, they'd listen.  You are both fab @Fortune_Smiles love Humdinger xx

    Oh what a shame - I bet he's devastated - NOT.

That's excellent news about the contract that means there'd be a conflict with nasty boss. She sounds like a real piece of work.
