This sounds awful for Mr F - indeed good he is out of there - maybe he should leave the door open on contract work but see if he can cover it elsewhere - does he have other work planned already?
That rail station looks dangerous!
Bacon and cheese loaf - would not last a day in my home and I live alone!DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Glad Mr F is able to leave and soon, I know from my work how badly some people are affected by bullying in their job and so many don't have the option to leave for various reasons.3

Ah yes because that's the way to make Mr F want to stay longer, by treating him like that and lying to him3

absolutely loved the 'good in parts' curates egg reference. We must read the same books.
I can't recall where I first came across the expression @redofromstart but I like the story behind it.

Fortunately Mr F is in demand @LadyWithAPlan and doesn't need the work. It seems Narcissistic Boss is trying to become Mr F's sole point of contact with his old employer - trying to retain control in some way perhaps. Mr F has lots of contacts in the business though so will just go direct to those he knows and trusts.
Bacon and cheese loaf may not grace the Fortunate table very often. It was too delicious and won't help with my get back to health plan 😆Cheery_Daff said:Goodness me, how utterly unprofessional!! According to the University of San Diego School of Business, 12% of of corporate senior leadership displays a range of psychopathic traits, which means psychopathy is up to 12 times more common among senior management than among the general population.
I believe I have met many of them during my career 😂

I didn't have any bacon in @rtandon27 😆 We have indeed got a countdown clock going - not long to go now 😁teapot2 said:Glad Mr F is able to leave and soon, I know from my work how badly some people are affected by bullying in their job and so many don't have the option to leave for various reasons.
Thank you @teapot2. We are very glad to be in a position where we can walk away. Many of Mr F's colleagues have said they wish they could too.CCW007 said:Ah yes because that's the way to make Mr F want to stay longer, by treating him like that and lying to him
It makes no sense to us either @CCW007 but it must make sense to her on some level. I think it stems from a loss of control - anger is a classic narcissistic response to loss of control.

On the Up Again
A better day today:- my blood pressure was normal this morning 🥳
- I walked FDawg with Mr F for a mile
- did an hour's Tai Chi
- reconciled the credit card account and checked against Mr F's final expenses claim - all balanced in the end 🤭
- had Full English Shakshuka for lunch again (without the bacon - sorry @rtandon27)
- got a few chores done around the house
- reviewed several work contracts
- made Haddock & Leek Au Gratin for supper
- was within my calorie allowance for the day 😁
Happy Hump Day all
