A woman after my own heart @lucielle! I only upgrade tech when forced to but I would have to concede that being able to watch snooker in colour would make me begrudgingly get a new telly

The Craft Beer Co pubs are always favourites in London - and there are a god number of them scattered around now. I don't think any of them would have the temerity to charge £7 a pint for GK beers either - mind you, I don't think they'd actually stock them either so..!

Well done on nailing down the BS (in every sense) for compensation - flipping right too!

That is funny Pip. I would be the same!

Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Hope Mr Pip’s back pay lands soon. When we moved here we had the cheapest of the cheap cord carpets. They were utterly dreadful. I don’t think they make them like that anymore thank goodness.

Okay so Mr PIP's extra pay isn't until end of May (supposedly) and the rest of what he can make available from selling annual leave is available end of May or end of June depending on when they deign to process it.

BiL and SiL have moved in without build being signed off and are trying to get it signed off by Building Controller by end of next week as only EPC needed to meet criteria. We cannot afford EPC and we certainly can't afford to start paying council tax on a place that's not ready to move into. Not overjoyed about our current situation
