I read your thread and think I will never build - then - I look at my vision board and smile at my version of the barn build and think "maybe I will" If I get planning that is

I did have a complete meltdown a long time ago @jwil 😂
Seems to be becoming more and more common @WelshmansDaughter
Yours won't be anywhere near as bad as this @Watty1, living nearby will halve the stress for starters

Does anyone happen to have a PIR motion sensor light that is mains powered and preferably in a lantern style, that gives out enough light to be effective for seeing the front door on approach?
I need recommendations as the internet is saying too many different things

Motion sensor light, yes, but lantern-style no. In fact one of the electrician's tasks tomorrow is to fit a new one.

Hope it goes well and everything fits and works @foxgloves
It has been 15 degrees with no chill wind today so I shaved my winter legs. Obviously no more momentous news than that is going to occur, but also did:

Oh my days, my poor brain. If anyone needs a two way one gang, a triple pole isolator, or a 13a fused spur, then I'm your gal. Though please don't ask unless you really have to as I will cry 😂

Just tried to log in to BS app to check when next payment is and for how much, and they have blocked my account as a 'security issue', presumably because I made a complaint about them charging us higher interest than was agreed.
Is it even legal to withhold people's financial information from them? We have no idea what our budget is because we have no idea what they're charging us and when behind the scenes! This feels so f*cking out of order

I used to have a lantern light that was mains powered with a pit sensor. I took it down and replaced with the gorgeous lamps I found but that need switching on!
The pir lantern came from b and q many years ago
one of my current lanterns is plugged into a Wiser plug that I can control from my phone so of out I can switch on remotely
A ramble but might prompt some ideas.
