Usuals
Walk around the manor to get the last of the morning sun
Flat clean
Free exercise of half wussy situps
Prepped cheesy potatoes
Steps going to local with camra discount so we can do some financial planning i.e. stare bewildered amd frightened at the long list of huge costs.
Worked out what we can cover if we spend every pence we have and new aim is £2250 of which we have £165.77. There are of course many other bills of much bigger numbers but we're trying to break it down into still unmanageable but slightly less scary chunks so we don't cry
Aim: £2084.23. Don't want to be c*cky but I'm fairly sure I can raise the 23p bit, and that's two whole of the digits sorted 💪

I’m sure you could do 25p 😅 Check the bottom of your bag!Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Thanks @WinterWarrior 😁 No change in the bottom of my bag, any loose money immediately goes in the wallet to offset a cost, or the jar for paying mum when she gets us something on her online delivery shop! No-one ever sits on the sofa in outdoor trousers either so there'll be none down the back of thathttps://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase

That’s a shame, maybe you’ll find some dropped street pennies. I rarely have opportunity to pay cash, so I still have birthday money from July! Edited to say I realise 2 months isn’t loads of time, but for me it is 🤭 if I could spend it on line it would be gone! Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Set £4.23 as your target and that's 3 digits and you have crossed over the decimal point into the big money zone. Seriously though the building process and funding the build seems very tough. But you are underway and that's brilliant. Roughly how long til we are all coming round for your house warming?

Always good to have a wee bit of cash about the home/person @WinterWarrior
I will see if any surveys can be cashed out on in the next couple of days @Blackcats. If you're fancying a gathering then it's more likely to be mob with pitchforks and torches outside the supposed mortgage lender rather than a house warming do atm! Never thought I'd be so desperate to owe a ton of money with over 6% interest on it!https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase

September Aims
Much the same as before, get money into the build pot, Christmas pot and current account
Keep on top of steps and f&v
Would be good to eat down some of the random stuff in the cupboards and will save a few quid
Try to find the right balance between saving money and enjoying pub trips and seeing friends
Keep up the listings work and persevere with surveys
