Thank you all for your kind comments.
There wasn't much I could do today other than get on with it so I got on with:
Build admin (well, consulting the list and reminding Mr PIP which aspects needed chasing today)
Admin
Tidying
Comping
Few receipt surveys
Spec work
45 minute walk getting olio bread rolls and the free paper and dropping it round to mums.
Laundry
25 minute walk getting aldi wine of the week, a nice shiraz reduced to £3.99.
Found three masking tapes, two sparkly stress balls that can go in boot sale pile, and a rose toiletries set
Half wussy situps
Several small surveys.
Our next build bill aim whilst still arguing with broker/valuer and thus no mortgage in sight, is £1955.40.
I have achieved the 40p component.

This blooming build seems to be all pay out for little or no progress 😞I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Well done for keeping on keeping on...
Just wondering, when the build goes ahead will you be walking distance from your mum's?
A Shiraz for 3.99 is amazing value. I wish I was closer to an a sm. I used to order their wine when they delivered and they are goodIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them
Emergency fund 1400/1000
Buffer fund 100/100

I keep trying to tell myself that @beanielou! The rose toiletries will come in handy for Christmas stockings and gift extras too so very pleased with that find, a few future quid saved
Aye @Sun_Addict. And if when we get this build mortgage we'll be paying over 6% interest on it, and we really, really, really need it
Thanks @doingitanyway.
Sadly we won't be in walking distance from mum, which is an extra heartache as we're going through all this immense stress and paying (borrowing) all this money but the truth is we're happy here, I love being able to see and support my only immediate family member, this is my community I grew up in and have people around I've known for years and trust and know would help me out and vice versa, and I really resent not being able to afford to live in my own home area.
Mustn't grumble, that's how life is, and we're grateful to have the opportunity to hopefully achieve having a small house in London which we would never be able to afford if we weren't building it, but all the same, it's difficult to remember that sometimes, when we feel like we're anxious and skint for the cause of moving when we don't even want to move.
Hopefully it'll all come good 🙏🤞
Can confirm the shiraz is delicious, it's got that slight violet undertone taste you get with great reds so if you happen to be passing near an A sm before Monday, get involved 🥂https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase/p1

Our local A never have the good wine deals, just an empty space where they should be 😞I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Ours usually fly off the shelf/display box and never get replaced @Sun_Addict, was surprised any of these were left. That can be the start of your retirement routine, going to A's of a Monday to see what delicious wine bargains are to be had!https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase/p1

Popped over to mums to do a food swap
Half hour walk with Mr PIP getting some olio bread (and jam doughnuts)
Found some books
Popped some doughnuts over to mum

Hope everyone is having a good weekendhttps://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase/p1
