That’s nuts, he can’t wait that long! Is there no chance he could go private?

    Isn't it @KajiKita
We'll have to see how it goes, we don't have that money available. Hopefully the antibiotics he's been given will keep pain at bay for a bit. Crazy that one arm of healthcare is saying we have to do everything possible to stop antimicrobial resistance and another is saying there are no appointments so we'll just keep prescribing you antibiotics for a year 😔

That's a shocking amount of time to wait for a root canal! My dentist went private years ago and I pay monthly via Denplan. I get 2 check ups and 3 hygienist visits a year plus any treatment is covered.  Mr SA's dentist is NHS and he gets a check up once a year which has reminded me it seems a lot longer than that since he last went. They usually send him a reminder to book an appointment, hope he's not fallen off their books.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

Mr PIP would prefer to try to keep hold of his teeth as far as possible @beanielou which I respect, and it would cost more anyway

Hope Mr SA hasn't fallen off their books @Sun_Addict, it can be hard work finding another NHS dentist
