Found a nice candle holder on the way back so that can go in the boot sale box, it all adds up!

    Usuals

45 minute walk getting 8p carrots, 8p parsnips and 15p spuds, as well as 15% off rocket and a free muffin.
Also used boots points to pay for cleanser

Entered some competitions, today I'm mostly looking forward to winning a £400 Joe Browns voucher

    Booked mortgage broker

    Got £16 for a sale

    Small survey cashout

    Shares to usual pots

Laundry load as decided I could be brave and remove the towels blocking the doors in case of mouse, which have been driving me mad making the flat look messy

    Spec work

30 minute walk getting some wine glasses from olio, obviously available now I've bought mum some 😁

    Survey

Ten minute walk getting some kitchen bits like soup and jam (and cupboard sauce 🙌) from olio

And now I am having a sit-down! Mr PIP is doing an online research group this evening for a £50 voucher, which we think will mainly go on groceries to offset the eye-watering water bill

Dinner is leftover asparagus pastry sheet

My mom always treated me to Agatha Christie season at the theatre for my birthday.

Hopefully the mouse has packed its bags  🧳

Lovely to catch up with friends, food for the soul.

Engineer turned up to fix stopcock, obviously no-one bothered telling us. Must have been bad, took four hours... kitchen is in disarray but that is a job for tomorrow, I did not have extra energy for it by the time he'd left. Had to send Mr PIP out to get us lunch from Greggs, which we would have been able to prepare ourselves in advance had we known engineer was coming. Still, if the worse thing that happens all day is spending a few quid on delicious food, I'll take that!

Another annoying thing is man on v!nted saying he wants his money back cos 'something tech I don't understand about him claiming its a fake' and while I feel guilty if he's telling the truth, I have no way of knowing if he is, he had all the same information I had, and I know it was working, so I'm going to just not get involved and let the site resolve it if he wants to take it further.
I feel bad because I am always scrupulous about listing defects etc but he didn't complain during the window the site gives to reject an item so I feel like the onus is not on me to prove something I have no way of knowing. I've already said ebay person can have their money back this week and I have no idea whether they're lying about not receiving the item.
    Listing online is very stressful!

    Ten receipt surveys

Finally a shower and hairwash after engineer left

Prepped potato croquettes with Mr PIP. They wouldn't roll properly so they're, ahem, rustic

I feel your pain @PennysIntoPounds regarding innocent, private online sales. It always seems the buyer is right and the seller has no easy redress. I’ve lost quite a bit recently - not huge amounts but enough to be annoying. One that sticks in my mind was a creamware candleholder. Someone bid on it then pulled out and I didn’t think much of it. However it sold for £15 a week later. All fine until they said it was received damaged and sent me a photo. It turned out to be the same person who pulled out earlier and my theory is they had a pair and had broken one so bought mine and claimed it was smashed in transit. If you saw how my husband packs stuff no way would it have broken. Anyway I just refunded them to avoid the inevitable hassle.

Went for a lovely walk and when I got back there was a letter from a debt recovery agency about a flat I used to live in that Octopus has decided I'm responsible for. They are the absolute worst company, I really do not know how they keep getting rated highly. I am somewhat stressed.

Found a bag of clothes and a pile of magazines, entered some competitions by post, got a perfume sample in the post

What an unwelcome missive after a lovely walk!

    Was the perfume nice?

Can it be proven? In my experience, these things often seem to stem from somebody moving out & next occupants not taking meter reading.

I am so unimpressed with Octopus @doingitanyway and @foxgloves, I wasn't on the account, they were instructed to close the account (that they owed money to the estate from and have only just settled) when family friend died over two years ago, and haven't made any effort to contact me for clarification before handing 'the debt' and my private details over to a debt collection agency. Sh!te doesn't even begin to describe it. If they've made a note on my credit report I will go absolutely spare

Haven't tried the perfume yet, I was in no mood to start enjoying pleasant fragrances 😁

They can't go back further than 12 months if this is brand new bill can they?
