Hope you have had a lovely break PIPMy mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Oh no, it just seems like one obstacle after another with the build 😞I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

I am so sorry this is happening. Your whole situation is ridiculous.0

Thanks @Watty1, will double check if any of the pre build stuff counts towards the planning permission 'activity' but as pp relates to actual build I suspect it doesn't as we're not allowed to build anything until consents are signed off by council
A lovely break indeed @redofromstart, thank you. Although in the restaurant we went to last night they had enormous proper tasty strawberries and I'm now slightly obsessed with how this can be achieved. Though as it was a somewhat mafioso-seeming Italian, it's probably best not to ask what they use as fertiliser
It does rather doesn't it @Sun_Addict. However, looking on the bright side, we were already f*cked as it was clearly not going to get built in time for us to be able to move into it from this rental in which case we need to waste all our money renting until savings can't cover it, so being even more f*cked doesn't really impact too much 🥂
Cheers @ladyholly. I know you know the feeling!

I wish the collective energy of your family, real life friends and MSE chums could get a suitably large and pointy rocket up the council's .... planning department.0

That would be nice @Blackcats, and yes those are synonyms in this household!0

Feeling a bit dispirited today and I have a stye, just in case I needed an outward reminder of how exhausted I am!
But a few little mse bits got done;
Admin
Tidying
Comping
Small walk sending an ebay sale
Free exercise of situps
Big clean of loo and bathroom with minimal products
Laundry
Survey cashouts
Resisted pub, beer and crossword on the sofa instead
Mr PIP is out tonight so my dinner is leftover tagliatelle with salad. Going to go posh and have some balsamic vinegar on it

February round up:
um, did two wholesome batch cookings and one additional exercise session. Still, given it was winter I'll congratulate rather than disparage myself, all the things to do can count themselves lucky I wasn't hibernating in a cave with a bear instead
March aims:
Current account not looking great as very little work around so main aim is to see if that can be bolstered
Flat pot obvs, and anniversary pot
Have a nice mother's day with mum
Just try to enjoy spring without stressing too much, whilst keeping an eye on spends. This has to be done anyway what with the worrying lack of income, but I have of late felt myself regularly verging on 'nothing I do ever gets us closer to a more secure or nicer life so why not just buy the nice things and be happy for a bit rather than wasting your life never getting any reward for bothering' but this is probably not the best way to go for mental or financial health

Happy Sunday 😊
Isn't it a relief to see some sunshine. Mind you, make sure to heed your Granny Pip and ne'er cast your clout till May be out!
Shoulders very energy sapping today and hip has gone peculiar, but managed a shower and hairwash, the usuals, and a big clean of bedroom
And had a nice amble of over an hour with Mr PIP taking in some Sunday beer (with camra discount)
Dinner is ys potato dauphinoise with roasted peppers. Might have some mozzarella sticks with it as we have them in the freezer

A lovely day in the sun indeed, no coat required, seems a long time since that last happened ☀️I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0
