An in-between phase

  • We did, thanks @foxgloves x

Spent a large chunk of the day in traffic coming back from our friends, did a quick half wussy situps, admin, tidying, comping, then out to the pub with Mr PIP for Sunday afternoon beers (with camra discount), did a couple of tedious listings. Also did some financial planning ie looking at lottery ticket, flat update is that we're still b*ggered!
Dinner is leftover takeaway pizza. Happy Sunday all 🍻

  • Sounds like a good weekend especially with pizza, friends cooking and a few situps!
    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

    Two surveys
    Shower and hairwash

Two 50 minute walks for an appointment. Including in the pouring windy rain.

Decided I had definitely earned a pint so a few extra steps! Caught up on some more admin bits.

Dinner is leftover spag bol 🥂

  • I got a 'woo hoo!' for suggesting leftover macaroni cheese here.
  • It's a hard life being trendsetting delicious mse food eating people isn't it @foxgloves but we must nobly (and nom-ly) persevere

I thoroughly approve of both the suggestion and the response @redofromstart

Well done on winning the pizza 🥳 Glad you had a nice meal at your friend’s new pad.

Can’t beat leftovers, I have enough wine left from the weekend to make a decent sized glass tonight 🍷

No leftovers here.  By a twist of fate I find myself not being a trendsetter and not being a cool kid.  I've never previously been either of these things so I'll be ok.  Would prepping overnight oats with cinnamon and apple count towards any sort of accolade?
