    Happy Monday Frugal Folks 😊

In the advent spirit I will mostly be wearing a bracelet made from my great grandmother’s pearls. I’ve never worn it. My mum had two sets made for my sister and I. So off to the garden centre in pearls today! Woohoo 🥳
I’ll leave them at home when I go to the swimming pool though. There are limits!

What advent treats are you all sporting today?

Today I am wearing a jumper with sequins to the office along with cocktail glass shaped earrings 😆
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • Well these sound fabulous @Slowdown and @Sun_Addict
My advent jewellery today is a vintage silver and blue glass bead necklace

  • Nice new thread @PennysIntoPounds and you made the front page.
  • Thanks @redofromstart, and so I did! I would say fame at last, but they've spelled my username wrong 😂

    Hope no-one clicks through to this diary looking for more wholesome content, if you have;
It's pretty much all swearing and despondency, sorry

  • Not much to report, did the usuals, 20 minute walk getting a free Christmas chocolate lolly courtesy of the coop app, did prep for a consumer research panel tomorrow (online!), and did a survey for 40p.
I'll try not to spend it all at once

This evening is carpet steps, writing a letter to a friend, and trying to persuade myself to cook a sauce from scratch then opening a jar 👍

Ooh sparkly jumpers, cocktail earrings and blue bead necklaces. Very fancy I must say.
I was complemented by a friend on the bracelet. She said she didn’t think I’d wear such a thing and I was very pleased so thank you @PennysIntoPounds for your excellent inspiration. Said friend is now going to go through her jewellery box too!
I forgot to take it off for the gym and made myself smile as it swung to and fro on the cross trainer! Remembered to take it off before the pool!
  • Aw that's all-round lovely @Slowdown, how nice the jewellery advent is spreading to others too!

  • Hmm maybe we should start it this year @LadyWithAPlan...
Any thoughts on where in the forum it would be best to place it anyone, especially @EssexHebridean
    Old style money spending maybe?
I'd have suggested Old Style, yes!

  • The usuals

Entered some competitions, today I'm mostly looking forward to winning cash and nice toiletries

Bit of a flat clean before family friends arrive to stay

    30 minute walk, found 1p

Received some nice samples in the post, a Palmers body butter and four L'Oréal hair sachets

Doing the online research panel this evening so hopefully that will go smoothly and be some nice extra money
