As far as I (and Scotland) is concerned, night is from 15.30 to 7.45am. And that is the way we like it.
Have nothing to contribute jewellery or glamour wise. I used to have lots of piercings and wear none now.1 -
Today I've chosen a silver (silver coloured not real) necklace and matching dangly earrings. I bought these back in the day when a trip to the supermarket involved a good spend up in the non-food aisles way before I'd filled my trolley up with random food stuff with no meal plan in mind nor shopping list in hand. The beginning aisles offered candles, tea lights, mugs, tea towels, sparkly plastic cacti 🌵and costume jewellery. I talked myself into buying this set because after all it was only £10, I probably needed it to accessorise an outfit, I deserved a treat and I'd only chosen a cheap bunch of flowers that week. Ho hum - at least I'm enjoying it today which brings its cost to wear ration down to £5 🥴0

Halving the cost per wear is excellent mse adventing @Blackcats. Haven't heard mention of the sparkly plastic cacti for a while! A timely reminder for us all pre-Christmas!0

25 minute walk getting a chocolate panettone and some mince pies- which handily enough were rated the best this year by Good Housekeeping in aldi.
Also got three more bottles of fancy bargain wine for the cellar (the end of the kitchen counter)

Made as much progress as I can with Christmas cards until I get addresses I lost when I updated my phone- and I can't find my address book anywhere, typical!
Have wrapped some of Mr PIP's gifts, will try to muster energy to do some more this evening. And at least one listing...
Dinner is a somewhat random veggie burger in a ciabatta as they're both loitering in the freezer

Happy Friday everyone, hope you got a bit of sunshine where you are
One pair of silver stud earrings cleaned, blimmin hurt my wrists and fingers but they are now adorning my ears for advent
Even dressed up as dreamt of putting on tights, my subconscious is clearly tired of me wearing jeans

Waited in for octopus engineer to switch meters to smart meters but he couldn't do electric as he needs a 'fuse finder' which he doesn't have. Once again I am baffled as to how this company keeps on getting good ratings
Entered some competitions, today I'm mostly looking forward to winning many thousands of pounds and also some gold jewellery- quite a few bits in my mse advent are just because I tend to wear more gold than silver but that's no reason the silver pieces should never get worn
25 minute walk taking some shop pictures for a research panel
Took pictures for a few listings which I'll try to do this evening, along with some more Christmas wrapping
20 minute walk to pub with camra discount to take a look at the free paper crossword
Mr PIP said he's unlikely to want dinner when he's back from today's gallivanting so I'll do a freezer rummage

I’m loving all the advent jewellery and accessories news. I so want those sparkly tights and opera gloves for bin day. Top them off with PiP’s pearls and who knows what could happen! I reckon my neighbours think I’m a bit odd already so this would reassure them their character judgements are spot on.A wine a week sounds a great prize, PB wins sound like lovely surprises and I firmly believe that if you eat or imbibe anything in small doses then the calories simply don’t exist. Open the Baileys, out float some calories, sip at leisure more escape, another small glass, same principle. The halving of a choccy biccy where you eat one half on the way out of the kitchen and the other on the way in means the calories escaped in breaking process. Voila! Nil point!I found a ring I was gifted on my 18th birthday (I’m now 58!) and a silver wishbone necklace received fairly soon after that have been resurrected thanks to the advent news.Happy days!😊2

Oh how very lovely you were reacquainted with those circa 40 year old (to you!) pieces due to our mse advent @Slowdown!
I'm genuinely finding it very touching that folk are digging out bits they haven't seen for years, reuniting matching items, taking a few moments to appreciate with fresh eyes what they do have, etc etc etc, and I'm especially moved that it's because of my little idea. *Christmassy hugs to everyone taking part*7 -
It’s lovely how you’ve inspired people to look at their jewellery boxes with fresh eyes. Warrants a separate thread of its own ❤️ Let’s dig out that stuff we’re not using, jewellery or otherwise, and get it used 🙂
Today at work I proudly sported a sparkly Christmas jumper. I bumped into another woman at the tea point also wearing a sparkly Christmas jumper. We both said we weren’t off out anywhere but why not wear a sparkly Christmas jumper to work.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
Ah that's fab @Sun_Addict, good on you and your tea buddy. I did think about starting a separate thread for mse advent calendar this year but wasn't convinced anyone apart from me would be in the slightest bit interested! How wrong I was, and delightfully wrong at that4
