I don't want to be up a 7am on a Saturday, the driver doesn't want to be up at 7am on a Saturday, what is this madness?! Then a twelve hour time slot?! I have a hissy fit if something is between 1-5, that's not a time. Just tell me a time. If you're held up, send a text. If it's any consolation I have to be up tomorrow and Sunday to move my car before the roofers arrive. What really * me off is that I have to get dressed to do it (in case they turn up while I am outside) and they never ever turn up when they say unless I didn't get up and the first I know of it is them clattering along the scaffolding outside my bedroom. Our royal mail delivery usually states 7.30 to 7.30. If it is coming by van it is usually quite near the 7.30pm but you can't bank on it & they never update unless it is via the postman then they do & we know when to expect anyway. I think a lot of these companies still live in the times when women stayed at home all day, which is mostly over 50 years ago & hadn't anything better to occupy themselves with. I suspect they had a much better social life than I did though.

I also hate companies that give a 12 hour time slot and then text me at some unearthly hour in the morning to tell me they will be here between ? & ? with a 2 hour time slot. Why cant they tell me that in the first place.
