  • Thanks all for your comments, lots to ponder upon.

    Not much done today;

    Usual admin and tidying

Panelbase survey which I would've been cross if it hadn't completed as it redirected and asked me the same questions four times

Had a small walk getting some bits from aldo plus some Olio breads and bonus salad

Updated my Vinteds and put up a few new listings

Then was aching and tired and couldn't function so actually slept for a couple of hours

Could have happily continued but it's my best friend's birthday drinks this eve so must drag myself there. Fortunately only a simple half hour journey and nothing too demanding, though she has said we will be singing sea shanties so if my posts this weekend are all 'ahoy me hearties' you'll know why!

  • Land ahoy! Although mine comes from watching children's programmes with the nephew
  • Singing was fun, and I lasted longer than expected with sore joints. Pelvis dislocated once I'd got into bed which was somewhat painful. Really achy today but there were free nice cask beers to be had thanks to Mr PIP investing a small amount in a beer start-up  years ago so I ever so bravely trundled onto the train for a nice afternoon with Mr PIP and a pal.

Then the train line stopped working due to what seems a combination of the obviously completely unprecedented bad weather in autumn in Britain, and an engineering fault despite the line being closed every other !!!!!! weekend for engineering works

Cab prices jumped in price from £9 to £22 to take advantage of people being stranded so I said they could shove it up their you-know-what and made a bad decision to walk instead of just sucking it up. It was a long distance even if I'd been feeling my version of normal, which I was not. Lost sight of Mr PIP navigating crowds on pavement and had a teary panic like a right idiot. Then every time I tried to put my bad decision right, the cab or bus was ages away and I was so tired and sore I just wanted us to keep progressing because if I stopped I might have to actually sleep on the pavement in the rain

I hurt so much everywhere. My tired, painful body is naturally influencing my mood but I'm also so tired of being in this limbo phase and being constantly like 'is this the day we hear what the shape of our foreseeable life looks like? No. Today? No. Today? No'. It's mentally and emotionally exhausting, and I do not have much energy to spare at the best of times, and it's been going on for so long now.

But there's plenty of people worse off than me, I am safe and loved, mum and Mr PIP are okay, I did- however foolishly- get the steps in that I was whinging that I hadn't done through cold and period, *and* Uber's algorithm was still told to stuff it when taking advantage of people being vulnerable. So not a bad day all in all, and now I'm going to sleep for most of tomorrow.

Hope you're all well and warm, having a lovely weekend, and not as stupidly prone as me to cutting off your nose to spite your face, and your feet, legs, knees, pelvis, hips, chest, shoulders, elbows, wrists and fingers x
  • With every step you told the robots to f off. Well done 🤣🤣🤣

😁Thanks @WelshmansDaughter it was a small victory but still somewhat stupid of me. I still have in my head I shouldn't 'waste' my PiP money when in fact travel etc is exactly what it's there for, to enable me to be more personally independent, it's not like the clue isn't in the name, duh

It was rather @beanielou! Still, a lesson has been learnt, and everything looks brighter today in the sun than it did in the rain and dark

Today I've completed a few surveys and got some fruit and veg portions in, and later Mr PIP and I will take a stroll and hopefully drop off a vinted parcel then check out a new bar a mate has opened in the area before I treat mum and Mr PIP to a Greek take-away with that premium bonds money I set aside to get them a thank you meal. I've got quite a bit of work lined up this week so it'll be a week of focus, earning, and taking care of myself.

    I notice @Blackcats hasn't commented on yesterday's football result 😁

I would’ve done the same with the taxis on principle - the thieving 🤬 I do begrudge paying out for taxis unless absolutely necessary, they’re a rip off.

You sound a lot more positive today 🙂

  • Quite @Sun_Addict! And thanks, I'm trying to be forgiving of myself for having down days, especially when I'm in a ton of pain and the world decides to cancel trains, rain on me, and nearly triple the price of getting home, grrr. Bound to be ups and downs, it's a funny old phase to be living through. Hopefully we'll get answers soon and it'll be worth it!
