I enjoy watching Grand Designs but would absolutely hate to be on tv, discussing finances, making mistakes and offending Kevin's architect designed good taste. When he makes that affronted, disdainful look 🤣 Even worse this could be shown on catch up/repeat forever. I recently watched the Isle of Wight beach house again. Whoops we went £1.something million over budget - never mind it will be our forever home. Well it will be until we sell it 2 years later 🥴2

Ugh, what is this miserable weather. Cracked and put the heating on. Mr PIP is usually a very warm bod but the single glazed windows that haven't been updated since *at least* the early 1970s have defeated even him. Even with the heating on I'm wearing fingerless gloves to work at the computer

Eventually made myself have a shower and hairwash at midday. I really did not want to take my clothes off. Feel like a poor child in a novel who is sent to spend winter in a draughty stately home belonging to a seldom seen distant aunt. There had better be a concealed enchanted wardrobe hidden in this flat.
A third wussy situps
Entered some competitions, a Shark vacuum would be very pleasing but so would a year's worth of wine
Laundry
Used survey amazon voucher to get a few Christmas gifts for mum (a beautiful diary, a beautiful set of pens, and a not beautiful but very handy sellotape dispenser)
Got paid £50 from a survey provider so half to current account, £15 to Christmas pot, £10 to flat pot
15 minute carpet walk
20 minute walk with Mr PIP for a Monday beer and to get some fancy soaps a pub pal kindly gave me as she got them for a gift but has pernickety skin
Hospital trust was meant to put the payment through on Thurs. There is no payment in my account. I know the details are correct as I had to confirm them THREE times.
Dinner is pasta and mum's splodge, with loadsa cheese. Mr PIP got a couple of blocks yellow stickered earlier so we are most pleased with that

Yaay on the £50 survey payment and the fancy soaps. 😊Grrrrr! to the hospital’s non-payment 😡

I dont think going through the wardrobe is a good idea. Remember it was always winter.

I don't know if I mentioned @KajiKita but the ombudsman recommended to the trust they bump it from £650 to £800 considering they'd dragged the process out for so long the guidance had changed, and they agreed to that, obviously to look good to the ombudsman but are evidently even more loathe to depart with their money now
Omg that would be amazing @WelshmansDaughter
You make a good point @ladyholly but what sort of person could resist a wee gander, and I am extremely partial to a Victorian style street lamp..1 -
Ummm … call me cynical but ….
£800 is chicken feed to the people ignoring this payment. The admin delays, dealing with your enquiries etc etc will have cost the organisation more than £800 by now, I suspect.I am infuriated on your behalf.

I agree @KajiKita but I now assume it's a matter of principle for them to be as continuously sh*t as they can for as long as possible.
Don't know where 'depart with their money came from', I think autocorrect but I'm liking it as an extra phrase
I've gone past angry about it @beanielou and now alternate between feeling a little more dead inside every time a societal power can't be bothered to so much as acknowledge my existence let alone their f*ckups, and wanting to sob, lots. The hospital trust are extremely fortunate that the council are making them not look as bad!

Such a miserable day today. My friend's cremation, still no money from hospital trust, and we're now week 7 of 3 (yep) on the pre-build works. Obviously no word from council
Sending love to @redofromstart today, and I hope you're feeling okay after your double jabs @beanielou and @ladyholly

Other bits off the to-do list
Spec work
15 minute carpet walk
Wrote some vinted descriptions for when I have energy to take pictures
20 minute walk with Mr PIP to raise a glass to my friend, and to Redo and Mr Redo (gnu)
Going to get the Sainsers meal deal for dinner.
Must spend less, drink less, walk more from tomorrow, but frankly today is a path of least resistance day.
