  • At work it is anything white and veneered that dust catches. At home I am dust blind

I have always referred to dusting as dust rearrangement as I convinced that is all it is = if I dust the bedroom it relocates to the spare room, if I dust the spare room, it relocates down the stairs somewhere...  I knocked something over on the coffee table in the living room last night and on putting it back realised where I'd been forgetting to wield a duster for the last few times I'd gone round. Having said that, with the item I'd knocked carefully repositioned, it wasn't offending me sufficiently to make me go and grab a cloth...

  • Oh there's no call to be getting a cloth involved if items can be carefully repositioned @EssexHebridean!
  • October Aims

Well the weather is awful, and so are many things, so I think October's keyword aim has to be 'wholesome'...

Things that are making me feel down or stressed:

Friend having died and upcoming celebration of life

Period starting and being extra anxious because I know I cope less well with the pain when emotionally less well

Family friends staying for the week

    Hospital trust being little sh*ts

Planning department still ignoring us and worries about running out of time and money

Things I can do about these:

Just grieve, one has to grieve and there's not a shortcut. Don't beat myself up about spending a little more money than I would usually on comforting things like pub time, sweet treats, weekend papers. Equally don't take the p*ss and get into bad habits. Try to focus on carrying on being lifted by his general good vibes

Period will pass. Prioritise self care in whatever gentle form that takes

Family friends are fine, it's always nice to see them, I'm just extra worrying because I'm feeling extra worried about everything at the moment

    Have chased hospital trust again

Chief Exec of council will be emailed today and if nothing from that we'll have to re-contact the MP or try a formal complaints route I guess. After that then we've rather run out of options, so fingers crossed for a good and speedy outcome

    Financial aims:
-Find money for flu and covid jabs
-Any unlikely spare money to Christmas pot
-Mr PIP still gradually paying himself back for the vets bills (had three close family birthdays and LPAs to pay for since)
-Any unlikely odds and ends to flat pot

Am sacking off hopes of breaks away until the above is fulfilled, and am sacking off doing listings until pre-Christmas, other than approx four vinteds that are season appropriate

Good aims for October and good ways to mitigate as much sadness and stress as you can.
winning pasta and wine is also a sensible coping tactic.
  • Had an exhausting night with period pains and bad dreams so not feeling too capable today.

Friend's partner has asked me to help coordinate his 'wake' drinks so have been trying to do that.

Knackered now, definitely sofa time. Think it might need to be spaghetti and jar sauce for dinner

  • I had spaghetti and jar sauce for my meal before work 😜 I consoled myself by buying the sauce that was 69p and not 47p
  • Ooh hark at you @WelshmansDaughter 😁
We're putting extra garlic in ours to make it wholesome which will definitely make up for the packet of crisps and slight massacre of biscuits I had earlier
