I get your gist @Blackcats. I agree, it's just that feeling of knowing something which however celebratory is still a sad thing is upcoming.
I've screenshot your advice and will put it in an email if I don't hear back from them next week, thankshttps://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase/p1

Thanks @KajiKita, I'm okay, looking forward to lots of cheese on the bake, some nice red wine, maybe an episode of a show I've been meaning to check out- although I'm finding it difficult to tear myself away from The Mirror and the Light! I've even got a few extra little bits off the to-do list. Largely by just crossing them off the to-do list, but it's as effective a tactic as anyhttps://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase/p1

Done the usuals, off across London to Mr PIP's folks shortly. Could do without it as joints very achey but I am at least wearing an excellent green roll neck sweater dress so that's something. We will be signing Mr PIP'S LPAs, hopefully in an acceptable order, they are baffling. If anyone hasn't done them yet:

Sorry your joints are throwing a wobbler, but you do sound delightfully green! Hope the LPAs get sorted in a trouble-free manner. Take care of yourself,

Another flat clean before family friends arrive for the week. Where does all the dust and grime come from? I literally just cleaned it. I swear if the second law of thermodynamics popped round my gaff it would be like 'oh steady on chaps, that's a bit much'
45 minute walk with Mr PIP for beer and natter- and entering our McMo codes- and we popped into Sainsers and got yellow stickers of a portion of pineapple, a portion of melon, two large baguettes, a half baguette, two packs of cookies, and a sarnie for Mr PIP to take into work for £3.07
Speaking of McMo tokens, one of them is for £70 off Jet2 holidays before 31st Dec, DM me if you can use it
Dinner is supermarket pizza and Mr PIP is utilising the half baguette for home-made garlic bread

I am of the firm opinion that if you do not like dusting then the more dust that is generated. Added to which anything electrical is a dust magnet too.
