Morning! A very grudging well done to your team for winning yesterday - I just about managed to write that but my typing finger was rebelling on the letters that form w e l l d o n e. My team are from the other side of the river and appear to have decided to finally start their season last week.2

What a lovely post to receive @Slowdown, thank you. I'm definitely your gal for beers, books, and a lot of wishful thinking! Do feel free to chip in any time ☺2

Haha @Blackcats thanks, very (begrudgingly) gracious of you. Would that be CP? Better late than never!1

Monday MSE activities-
Dropped off two more vinteds, happily just down the road this time
Had accepted I wasn't going to find any McMo tokens as I walked up my street, then bothered to cross the road and lo and behold-- two McMo tokens! I don't know if the phrase God loves a trier is true, but Lady Luck and the pavement seem to!
Actually, does anyone want to form a band called 'Lady Luck and the Pavement'? We can't let that name go to waste 😁
Entered some competitions- today I'm mostly looking forward to winning a stack of books with a Christmas hamper
Have been looking through old photos for the Cadburys competition, alas no pics featuring a Cadburys product but a lot of memories, I expect to have some peculiar dreams tonight! Also a lot of disbelief at all the ages I thought I was fat and the ugliest of my peers. For goodness sake child and teen and young adult PiP, you were bl**dy gorgeous! No point trying to shake some sense into past selves though. If I am fortunate to continue living for another 10, 20, 30, 40 years, I don't want to look back on photos of me now and think 'do you remember being in your 40s and getting a bit greyer and a bit paunchier and having no home of your own and feeling like you'd failed, you absolute fool' rather than 'yeah I remember when I was merely in my 40s and looked fantastic and had many achievements and lovely things to forward to. Btw 80 year old me, you still look superb, love what you're wearing, and what you've done with this place'.
Returned the product from the Coop mission and they were happy to give me a refund so that's Mr PIP saved from 'baby milk powder surprise' for dinner 😁
And they were happy to refund in cash so since the payment had already come out of my account I took advantage of the cash and went for a couple of pints in my local and caught up with my long-standing 'various pubs in the neighbourhood who have now alighted on this pub' mates. Had a nice low ABV Jarl beer-watchers!
Had to get back to be in for a delivery for mum as it was due before she was. Honestly, you encroach on someone's space with no end date, hugely cram their home with your stuff, and they ask you if you'll be in for their delivery 🙄😂
I'm very lucky. Hope you've all had a good start to the week x

Oh dear @Blackcats (how do you block someone on here 😂) Well your congratulations were even more gracious than I thought, thank you 😁
I had the impression you weren't London, maybe I was mistaken or is there an interesting story as to how you came to support them?1 -
Hey Pip, I too have just read your diary from start to finish, have very much enjoyed reading all about your daily ins and outs. You’ve got such a lovely way with writing, definitely not clogging at all!2

Love that your turn of phrase reminds me of Jesse’s fashion and diet tips from The Fast Show’😂
Never tried a Jarl. Looked it up to find a citra ale on one site and a Swedish nobleman on another. I’m guessing you were partaking of the former though the latter sounds interesting too! 😂
I also look back on past pics and wonder why I worried so much about my looks. Now I’m in my late 50s with a spreading menopause waistline and more wobbles than a plate of jelly I realise I should have appreciated myself more. 🙄🤷♀️
Have a good day
Slowdown 🙂2 -
Aw thanks @missymoo81 that's very nice of you, do swing by anytime ☺0
