  • Woke up with a cold so have been trying to rest up as much as possible. This is sensible and simple in theory but since my stages of being ill are 1. Absolute denial 2. Abject fury 3. Feeling worse than I needed to for longer than I needed to because I refused to acknowledge the outrageous insult of being ill 4. Bit of rest 5. Going 'bored now' and carrying on regardless, I'm actually quite proud of having a day reading in bed. Bored now though 😂

Did manage a bit of admin, a very small bit of work, being screened out of a few surveys, and arranged a date for us going to spend our winnings at the pub quiz

Also confirmed my details for the voucher for the Coop mission

Had one of the Vinted sales completed

Finished a couple of books, am near the end of another, and am pondering the next reading pile...

Extra pleased we came across those bargain pizzas as one of those will do for a very low-effort dinner tonight!

I quite fancy a pizza now!

  • I am very much looking forward to it @beanielou! Such a relief when one's a bit under the weather to not have to use any brain or body effort to eat

  • Boo to the cold. I took all the medicines for mine. Was high as a kite on lemsip
  • I didn't have any @WelshmansDaughter! But since it's just paracetamol I just took paracetamol instead throughout the day yesterday. Had a very high temperature throughout the previous night which I let be so it could burn the germs off, and the combination of fever, then paracetamol and ibuprofen, zinc and rest seems to have mostly done the trick. Feeling exhausted today but head is much clearer 🤞
  • Firstly, a big thanks to the weather for making it such an ideal day to stay in bed!

Have done even less than yesterday...

Got my coop voucher and had it sent to my paypal before I could nominate it to a voucher and find myself 'accidentally' buying bits for myself since it's 'free money'. That's been sent to bank to be transferred to flat pot

Another three vinted sales comfirmed as completed, one to go

Very minor tidy and bits of admin done

No work bits done at all, feel a bit guilty but too tired to be particularly bothered

Did a couple of surveys for £6 total, which was an especial relief as, as @foxgloves was saying on her diary, the series of surveys recently that waste your time for ages before finally getting round to asking the pertinent question then screening you out was really starting to get on my wick, and I am not a woman of lengthy wick at the best of times

Entered some competitions- today I'm mostly looking forward to winning a stack of books

And on that note, I'd better get back to my evening's busy activity of even more reading!

Hope you all have warm, safe, and unsnuffly Friday evenings x

The weather has been dire where I am too, got drenched. Hope you feel better soon.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • Not saying I was somewhat tired but slept for 12 hours

Final Vinted I was waiting on was confirmed so have withdrawn that, should be in my account in about a week

Completed a survey (65p but it all adds up (one hopes))

    Did household tasks including laundry

Had a shower and washed my hair

Blimmin period started, just in case I didn't feel tired enough

Had arranged weeks ago to see a friend for a couple of beers so didn't want to cancel, and it was only ten minutes walk down the road, and I was feeling somewhat appalled at the prospect of not leaving the flat three days straight so went and had a very nice catch up (I did ask her consent in advance for being a bit cold-y, we sat outside (under heaters!) and I'm not sneezy or spluttery). Bit tired now though!
And it has got VERY autumnal to winter out there while I was tucked away... tomorrow's to-do list now has now got 'dig out gloves' on it

Read an article earlier that said a person pays on average a bit over £600 for Christmas. Glad I'm one of the people dragging the average down!
