That does make me feel better @foxgloves sorry for laughing 😁 What a beautiful sentence, not just 'stuck in a bra' but 'stuck in a bra in Kings Lynn Sainsburys' 😂1

Signed up to another survey provider
Did a Panelbase survey on vaccines, nice to be asked about something you're actually interested in
Did poundland and sainso receipt surveys
Mr PIP found two McMo tokens on the street, one of which is for 40% off SkullCandy if anyone wants to try the code
Went into McD's to get our free fruit bag via a token and found another eight on the floor and tables. Big 'Remember you're a womble' vibes here 😂
Entered some competitions- today I'm mostly looking forward to winning £1000, but I will also accept the nice red wines
Btw, I have taken to wearing that free-from-Olio sofa throw as my autumn scarf and have had many a compliment on it!

An acquaintance of mine has eds and does pole fitness but refuses to do anything involving the splits as she once got stuck in them.
There's a very interesting video on YouTube of a girl covering herself in red to show her eds pain.2 -
Apologies for laughing but your earworm cracked me up! Bad enough getting stuck in the sock in the first place, but having to then imagine Elvis mocking you for it must have added insult to injury!
I confess to still finding the outcoming of pushing Jaws round the house slightly alarming. Let's just say that I pretty rapidly found out when we moved in that I was far from the worst person in the world when it came to vacuuming - the first pass round with the Shark on moving day needed 3 empties of the bucket. I know it's only small, but still! Reassuringly I only need to empty once at the end now - although that's still a fair bit of ick for a week of living in a house! (And that's without the stairs, no way I'm doing THOSE weekly!) At least the acquisition of the steam mop means floors are getting mopped more frequently than they used to in the flat! I may be a slattern, but it's nice to feel that I do have some standards!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Noooo @EssexHebridean now the earworm's back in my head 😂😂
Quite right @beanielou! I am definitely a member of 'Team slattern with some standards'. No call to be specifying what those standards actually are 😁
Blimey @WelshmansDaughter that does sound like they were hiring you more for the company/praise but not your problem!0 -
Have been thinking about if I should do a monthly round-up of pots but it would be somewhat pointless and just playing at money saving as I list all my small efforts here and would admit it if I'd raided a pot.
Which I am concerned about needing to do once I run out of my 'spare' current account money but we're hoping to have a better idea of what's going on with the potential build in the next couple of weeks;
We contacted the local MP and said 'we're not a development business, we're just normal working class stock who want to know whether or not we can use this bit of luck of owning a small plot of land in the family to have two unostentatious homes to live in and we don't understand why it's taking so long to say yes or no'
Obviously the council responded with a very flattering portrayal of themselves which bore no semblance to reality but they did say they'd prioritise looking at our application this week so fingers crossed we'll hear back next week.
We'll be gutted if it's a no but at least we'll know where we stand. This situation of Mr PIP wasting money renting and me (although I know I'm very lucky to have Mums flat and Mr PIPs flat to stay in) being technically homeless is just ludicrous and is through no fault of our own (not that I am throwing any shade on people who are also in not ideal situations for any reason). We just want to know what our immediate and foreseeable future life looks like so we can act and budget accordingly!

So today's small efforts:
Did a Smart Money People survey for chance to win an Amaz*n voucher
Read the MSE email and made a note in my diary to remind mum of her favoured supermarket's Christmas delivery deadlines for ordering (not that she needs reminders of things, blessedly, but always good to note a mse date!)
Checked Quidco and they have confirmed the Shark cashback- available next March 😂 My joining bonus is listed but not confirmed but I'm presuming they apply it once your first successful cashback payment has occurred...
Won £300 on the prem!um bonds, which was a nice surprise! I've had a very decent run in the last few months so expect that to end soon 😁 That money will go into the flat pot once it's in my account, though if I'm feeling la-di-da and like things are going in the right direction I might use a small bit to treat Mr PIP and my mum to a nice dinner (in the flat, from a shop, making sure I get loyalty points, I'm not made of money 😂)
Did a couple of little work jobs
Did a Sainsbo receipt survey. This is one good thing about only having budget/space to do top-up shops, at least you get receipts to potentially profit from. I would of course go to a cheaper shop and forsake the receipt option (Aldos doesnt do feedback surveys) if that was an option for where I am and what we need
Did some wussy situps as have been feeling so knackered and inactive lately. Feeling even more knackered now!
It has also occurred to me that I should have a pot for doing my minimum £1000 a year into a LISA next tax year. I'd be annoyed if I didn't as I've already only put the minimum £1000 in per year for the last few years and I'm cross that I don't have more money or ability to earn when I don't have any other pension. But I also don't see where that money is coming from. I'll work it out I guess, probably better to have 1k less in the flat pot in the depths of next year and make the most of the £250 return in my even poorer old age should I be fortunate enough to have one! I'll be sad and most unpleased with myself if I need to use the flat pot money but if half way through next year we still don't know what our life situation is there are bigger decisions to be made...
