  • Aw thanks @beanielou, always nice to have a natter with the good people of these here mse boards

Mum and I went for a corded shark in the end because as @CRANKY40 said, our bodies are very much of the 'do the housework while the brief ability is there' variety but if I get a place of my own and money to do so in future I'll certainly have a think about the @EssexHebridean suggestion of a cordless with a spare battery on charge.
It was so helpful to get useful suggestions from the lovely people on here!

But what do you do when you want to read but you're not in the mood for the book you're reading @EssexHebridean and @lucielle?! The thought of depending on just one book is slightly stressing me out 😂
In that instance I'm probably not in the mood for reading at all so I'd do some crochet, or just watch TV for a bit, or potter about doing odd jobs! having said that - I do usually have an emergency book on the go on the kindle app on my iPad - that only gets picked up on the rare occasions I'm (gasp!) separated from a real book though!  (And yes - not wishing to be a drama-llama but I really don't like not having access to a book!)

As for clogging up the internet I think most of us on here have been through that phase at least once! I've always worked on the basis that the internet is so massive frankly it can cope with a bit of clogging from me though! Whatever helps keep us on track, at the end of the day!

I swear by my shark its corded as well but lifts away to do stairs etc so that's handy. Wasn't until I did first hoover with it and saw all the fur that come up that I realised how bad my previous one was lol.

  • Drama llama absolutely justified when thinking about the dreadfulness of not having access to a book @EssexHebridean

Lol @Sarahwithlove me and mum were the same, I mean, we're not housework fans but we were like 'well this is quite the revelation!'

I loathe housework lol but it is satisfying seeing all the fur in my hoover. I got a vax and cleaned it as well. Now that was a big shock

  • Have had a comically EDS day, got trapped in a sock midway through putting it on- didn't have the finger strength to pull it up or the shoulder strength to pull it back down. Persevered and with somewhat sore wrists was able to get the sock on. Will be asking Mr PIP to help take them off though! Obviously my brain decided to treat me to an earworm of Elvis singing 'We're caught in a sock, and I can't walk out'

Then managed to get two fingers trapped in the milk carton handle. How? No-one knows. Had to rotate various parts of both body and carton until I struggled free. If you see that recyclable plastics as huge rings are in next season, I started that 💅

Also did a yougov survey, a coffee survey, did Sainsbo receipt feedback, and signed up to another new survey provider

Had a nice lunchtime stroll with a friend *and* found a McMo token

    Had a client call

And only ever so slightly out of date pasta sauce with pasta. One benefit of being vegetarian is you know that the worst slightly out of date food will do is make you feel dodgy rather than kill you (Obviously this is not encouragement to eat anything dubious, money saving or not!)
  • There's only a certain extent to which I'm interested in seeing how much I haven't been able to clean @Sarahwithlove 😂

@PennysIntoPounds - If it makes you feel any better, I once got stuck in a bra in Kings Lynn Sainsbury's. Not something I'm in any hurry to repeat.
