Feeling very tired, achey, and dispirited today.
Didn't achieve much at all.

Begrudging well done to Spain for winning the Euros. Well done to the England lads and Gareth Southgate for reaching the final and doing a brilliant job despite all the punditry slagging them constantly, including during the literal final that they were in
I always think of the horrible fact that domestic violence increases during football tournaments and especially on occasions like this, so I hope no-one reading this (or anyone at all) is experiencing anything like that, but just in case...

I need sun. And sleep. And for something good to happen with this build.
But in reality:

Entered some competitions, today I'm mostly looking forward to winning cash for the flat pot but wouldn't say no to some posh skincare
Lots of steps what with going to central London to get the last of Mr PIPs birthday present. Managed not to spend a fortune in Fortnums!

I'm also proud of Engeerrrland for their improvement and effort throughout the tournament despite some press, pundits, armchair pundits and "fans" passive aggression and negativity. I had hoped we might succeed this time but Spain had a brilliant tournament. My brother is such a negative CFC supporter. He spends the entire match texting his criticism of players and manager. My view is that however frustrating it can be I need to actually support my team rather than rip them to shreds. Though sometimes my patience is severely tested. Not sure if you've heard back from Thames but according to their blurb their new CEO is committed to "turning round business performance" and "improving customer experience". I'm sure he would like to hear from you to help him enact his aspirations, and even if your correspondence is just forwarded to the right team it will at least be forwarded from the CEO's office.3

Isn't it so tiresome when people are into something just to have negative attitude @Blackcats, as you say football exists to severely try our patience but don't call yourself a supporter if you're never supporting
I'm still constantly lowkey seething about the disrespect shown to Wenger, hounded out by shouty glory seeker young people wanting everything when they demand it and older people too thick to understand that the sole one year *only* qualifying for Europa when we were b*ggered by being the only team to abide by all the introduced fair play rules and built a stadium which was only funded with the agreement he would be there and coming second only to Leicesters amazing fluke season, is a last few seasons other teams would give anything for
Anyway, rant over (not really, I'll never stop being cross about that 😁)
Thames have got back once again needing clarification on yet another point which no-one knows why they need but hopefully it'll be sorted soon and then we can back to focusing on only banging our heads against a brick wall with the council, were we allowed to have a brick wall on our own bloody land3 -
I would say people in general are much more negative and nastier than they were pre covid. I have heard this from various sources including taxi drivers, shop assistants and at the moment I am listening to an item on the today programme where they re talking about the agression that both MPs, candidates, their supporters and families are being subjected to verbal and physical violence and having tyres slashed.
What has happened to people? We must persuade people into a gentler society or we will end up in a kind of dystopian society.

Heads up MSEers, National Trust are doing a free one day pass offer until they run out or the 29th, to be used on one occasion, not bank holidays, some properties excluded but a handy money saving if you were already going to go or fancying an excursion

Think I wiped the ipad! Will wonders never cease.
Planning on taking it down to the nearest cex store in the next week. Although because it was my dad's of course I'm now feeling sentimentally attached to it. So I'll allow myself to put it off for a bit if I need to, probably the week in which I had the health ombudsman call and my period is not the best time to expect myself to feel rationally about it.
Taking Mr PIP for his birthday drinks this evening so hopefully a good time will be had. And if there's any change for the pots all the better 😁

Enjoy your evening 🍻I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Cheers @Sun_Addict, a good time was had. Took Mr PIP to a bar with London's largest collection of Irish whiskies. I put up with them not having cask beer and had (amongst other things, herhum) a tzatziki sour keg beer which was surprisingly delicious 🍻
And got a handful of free postcards for future comps!

Money shuffling:
There *was* some change from the birthday pot! Paid myself enough for a small basics grocery shop and buying Mr PIP some beers in the sun, a small amount to Christmas pot and the remainder to flat pot
Got paid £15 from a coop in-store mission so £5 to Christmas pot and the rest to flat pot
And had £40 over the emergency/bill £100 needed in the holding account that gets no interest so sent that back to my current account
Won another £10 supermarket voucher!

Hour and a half walk with Mr PIP putting his long awaited cheque in the bank (yes, they can take your money through all the ways but only refund and compensate you like it's 1994), and dropping the ipad into cex (where it is undergoing checks to determine how much they'll give me, by the guy who didn't know the model number was on the back, so I'm not expecting much but will traipse back tomorrow to find out), and having some beers with the actual sun out 🎉🍻🎉
Mr PIP said he put some money aside for us to have a treat takeaway for his birthday week so that is dinner this evening!
