I'm really glad you've been able to get at least some resolution to the situation around your Dad PiP - it's so tough to deal with when a loved one is seriously let down by the very people who are meant to have been caring for them, and all the more so when it's an end-of-life situation as well. I still feel hugely angry that my dad's final three weeks were made so much more unpleasant than they needed to be.

My goodness fighting for all that time must have been harrowing. I do hope you enjoyed raising that glass and I'm sure he raised one back from his cloud in heaven
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

    Thank you @Watty1 🍻❤
  • Had given myself permission to have a lie-in what with all the emotion of yesterday but the postie decided I needed to get out of bed at 7.45- not even anything for us!

That must have been a difficult time, @PennysIntoPounds. I lost my parents barely 1 year apart & it's difficult enough without dealing with complaints as well. I hope it brings a bit more in the way of 'closure', but any amount of payout isn't the same as having your Dad, I know.

  • Thanks @foxgloves. Losing your parents one year apart must have been so difficult.
I know my Dad would be proud I fought as hard as I could for some justice for him and to help others, and would be delighted to have contributed to the flat pot!
