Got paid for a job so share to tax pot
Entered some competitions, today I'm mostly looking forward to winning a case of wine but I'd also like £250 to put in the flat pot
Had a call with the health ombudsman who are finalising their investigation into my dad's death. Hospital has offered £650 and ombudsman has advised that this is appropriate on their scale of injustice.
Obviously doesn't feel appropriate to me but I do respect that there are severe limitations on what the ombudsman can do and tbh I'm surprised they got any admittance of wrongdoing let alone money out of this godawful health trust.
They've said that changes have been implemented from my complaint that has been dragging on for three bloody years, so hopefully me pursuing it even though it's been f***ing horrible has prevented others from experiencing it.
So that's all been a bit harrowing.
Gone to the pub to have a quiet beer in the rain and process and reflect and raise a glass to my Da.

Hearing anything about this must pull it all up again for you. Hoping the beer washed some of it away ❤️

Oh that sounds dire about your dad, so sorry you’re having to go through this. I do hope something positive comes out of it.On a lighter note I thought of you when I was on my holibobs when I saw a woman dressed as Snow White having a crafty cigarette on a bench with a bearded bloke in a skin tight sequinned red mini dress. As you do 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

Though it can never be right to have to spend years on a complaint about the care of a loved one I hope that you can start to feel that official processes have concluded and hopefully changes have been implemented.
@Sun_Addict - what with the amazing sunsets and Snow White and her chum you certainly saw some memorable sights on holiday.
