Those commentators are always so negative, if the team hear them it is a wonder they can drag themselves out onto the pitch.  Still the longer the match lasts the more steps I get in.
  • Guess they have to make drama out of something to stay in a job @beanielou but seems a shame the British media still think it's appropriate to do it at the potential cost of the mental health of (especially young) people who haven't even been doing badly, and when they haven't been great it's hardly surprising if all they've heard from people in football punditry and opinion-making positions of power is that they're being !!!!!!. Fair enough to have an opinion but maybe try being supportive first, see where that might lead 🙄
After England I'm supporting France, would be hilarious for a team to win the tournament without scoring a single proper goal. And folk are slagging England!

*passes over the paltry few remaining minstrels, stretching from my high horse* 😁
  • Quite so @badmemory. Steps because of the stress of watching or going elsewhere to avoid it?!

The stress of watching - I have a through room so walk from almost the front window to almost the back window, many many times.  For some reason football seems to be the idea thing to watch.

I cant even ... i love a giant button - not seen the M&s one though
annoyingly I do have a Dairy intolerance.... I do eat small amounts especially when I travel - having to be strictly GF is hard enough - but I get eczema -  a bright red rash appears in exactly the same visible place when I eat too much ... I can feel it coming on... once with text-ex as he loved cheese so I had some in the fridge  (i love cheese too but) that bright red mark hung around for weeks as I ate cheese/choc/butter etc with him  - bright side though 3 days after being dumped by text and no dairy it had disappeared ...
so I occasionally buy DF chocolate ...but its not quite the same..

If I win some chocolate I will send you some or leave at  a drop point at our local  new Aldi if it ever gets built/opened  (as I know we shared the sadly departed Lidl so we definitely within a few miles of each other
