An in-between phase

😂 @Watty1 I'll add all as a matter of priority!
'Wussy' has to stay for truthful statements @twiggy86 😁 Ooh must remember sleeping bag for extra back support. Fair play to situps, they are an excellent opportunity for a nice lie-down 😂
Happy Friday everyone! Have done admin, tidying, and even comping, over leftover cauliflower cheese, breakfast of champions.
I have also accumulated an irritating pile of things in the hallway that I suppose I'd better shift over to the flat once I've finished my coffee before there are sweaty man brandishing bits of furniture everywhere!https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase

Got a call from Mr PIP to say movers were heading over and he'd be following shortly.
Then a call a while after to say the cat had bolted out and he couldn't find her.
So me and mum take a few bags of random essentials over (clocks!), the movers arrive, I handle that for almost two and a half hours (mum stays for moral support), the place is in chaos and I don't know how we're going to access anything, but Mr PIP found the cat after an hour and a half- under a bush and tempted her out with dreamies
Movers mention they'll be done in 15 mins, so I powermarch to cashpoint to get money for a tip as Mr PIP got money out in advance but obvs isn't blimmin here!
He arrives about half hour after they've gone. Cat has jammed herself into the tiny gap at the edge of the tumble dryer in the cupboard. She won't be able to get out as not enough space to jump and no paw-hold but seems happy enough for now. Rest of afternoon spent trying to clear enough space to get to an item then repeating the process to get to another. Though we do now have a hand towel in place, the bed is made, and all the bins except one have been located...
Beer now then either sleep or food or cracking on. Got mates coming round tomorrow to help move my stuff, no idea where it's going to go!

Well done on being Director of Moving today. Hopefully the cat and/or you and MrPIP manage to work out an escape from being wedged in the cupboard with the tumble dryer plan.3

Well done of prioritising the bed! Always the first thing I set up as soon ad I can once I get the keys to where I am moving to - that way at least when I collapse I can fall straight into bed! 😊
Good luck tomorrow 😊

We did a beer then cracking on then winning cava and dinner (thank you so much yesterday me for thinking wisely about food), after poor Mr PIP had to lift the tumble dryer so I could grab the cat to make sure she at least saw her food, water and litter tray!
She seems more settled now after some grub and fuss, feel bad that tomorrow is more disruption but at least her basics are in place and she can be shut in the kitchen diner for a bit without being away from her stuff or cooped uphttps://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase

@PiP - That's a good idea about letting your cat settle into just one room initially, as it will feel like a safe space amidst all the upheaval. She'll soon decide she wants to explore.

Moving stuff moving stuff moving stuff. Still much more to be moved.
Takeaway pizza for dinner with cava.
Mustn't get accustomed to the lifestyle!
Aiming for an earlyish night as another big day of moving stuff for me and Mr PIP tomorrow. Really must get some steps in but we didn't want to leave cat until she's settled. That's the two days of lots of people being in and out though so hopefully we'll all feel normal and at home soon. No situps even thought about.
LPAs signed by all, hopefully they'll be accepted as they're very pedantic and I still have the fear of having c*cked it up.
Hope everyone is having a grand Saturday x
