Ha it'll certainly be interesting @Sun_Addict and @WinterWarrior, I have no knowledge of it so no pre-conceived ideas, might be insightful, might be insane

Meters Man was here for nearly two hours, fingers crossed it's all sorted because the amount they're saying is extortionate and it was horrible seeing her so distressed

And rescued a bag of clothes that someone had dumped that was getting rained on

Hanging up clothes, will let them dry then see what will be listed for sale and what will go to charity shop. Even if I can't sell anything I'm very happy it's not getting so sodden and rank it's fit for nothing but landfill

It’s rained all afternoon here after a beautiful day yesterday. I was sat in short sleeves in the garden yesterday, what a difference!Sounds like you’ve had a productive day 🙂
Most charity shops will take unsaleable clothes as rags if need be, they weigh them in. I can’t believe these people that just dump stuff in the street, what makes them think it’s ok 😡I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Glad you enjoyed summer @Sun_Addict, happy autumn! 😁
I know, I really don't understand the mentality. They're kids clothes as well, what lessons are they being taught. And you'd think someone with children would know how helpful it is to pass stuff on or be able to get it cheaper from a charity shop. It's not shabby stuff at all.1 -
Won £275 on the premium bonds! 🎉
Such a relief as doing the dental hygienist appointment before we move would be a big hit to my monthly budget, and while I could and would have covered it I'd still have been a skint and grumpy PIP! Thank you Ernie, love you
So I already had £25 from the comp win towards the appt so if I allocate the £75 that should cover it and leave change unless they've hiked their prices even higher again
Mum birthday has been covered with £50 from the comp win and if it's an extra tenner or so that can come out of normal budget
Going to keep £100 aside for stocking up on things from Mr PIP's manor before the move, as it's so much more convenient for various shops there (hate it when South London beats North London 😂). Probably too much allocation but want to be able to get mum stuff in from there too and things do add up, and the current account won't refuse a few spare quid if it's left over
So £100 left, will see if Mr PIP needs it towards costs for man and van or getting the council to collect fridge freezer, and if he's got that covered then it'll go to LISA and flat pot
