Doing nothing days and pottering about days are my favourite days (not the making clay pots with Patrick Swayze type of pottering although .....)
Good that you've got the keys and very thoughtful to get the cat's room organised as a priority at the new home1 -
Thanks @WinterWarrior, I got tetchy at points then had to remind myself I was allowed to relax. Occasionally. Once a year. Though that's a bit of liberty. Can you tell I'm not used to it 😁
Cheers @LadyWithAPlan, I do keep a list of comps entered, though mostly to seethe at 😂 (and so I can check if something looks spammy if I have entered something that resembles it.) Oh gawd I'd hate caravan living but yeah that is an interesting idea, if we have nowhere to move into when our max two years at family friends flat ends we may well have to look into that. Thanks for the suggestion, I do like a bit of leftfield thinking!
I'm sure we could all make space in our busy doing nothing days for a bit of Patrick Swayze pottering @Blackcats 😁
I'm already anxious enough about the cat resenting not being able to go outside/jumping out of a high window/reacting badly to the move, so the least I can do is prioritise making one room immediately 'I know where I am here at least' while moving and rejigging goes on around her! Second priority will need to be arranging wherever we end up putting her litter tray and food...2 -
P.S. I caught up with Have I Got News For You and thought 'our' Martin Lewis did a great job of his first time hosting it. On BBC iPlayer if anyone's interested

Well I did not wake up raring to go as woke early and couldn't get back to sleep.
But some things have been done:
Weighed self, lost quarter of a stone rather than the gain I expected! Probably my body literally holding itself together, it does take up rather a lot of energy
Shower and hairwash (shoulders say ow)
Excellent outfit even though I had to rest my shoulders between movements so took a while getting dressed
Smashed my five a day before midday. Though wrist hurt holding cheese on toast 🙄

Laundry
Cleaned bedroom
15 minute carpet walk
Half wussy situps (possibly a mistake joints-wise but since they'll go rogue whatever I do, thought I should get some small exercise in before they get worse again!)
Discovered a tenner in my purse so was able to budget going for a couple of pints with a mate, nice catching up and 15 minute walk
Five minute carpet walk and will try to do more this evening
Dinner is pasta using up the somewhat flagging broccoli sauteèd with garlic in olive oil for sauce (and cheese obvs)
Feeling remarkably chilled. Is this what happens when you don't constantly push yourself to achieve things? I hope not as I'm too poor to not do that 😂
Hope everyone is having a restful and/or pleasant Sunday x

Feeling chilled is always a good thing as is to losing weight when expecting a gain 🙂I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Hope everyone's week has started decently enough. Feeling a bit overwhelmed and tired at all the things that need to be done, but we keep on keeping on don't we

40 minute walk to opticians to drop off deceased family friend's collection of glasses
Survey
25 minute walk, Aldi had wines on promotion for £3.49 down from £5.99
Comping
Signed up to another survey provider, hopefully it won't be too annoying!
30 minute walk getting some free bread from Olio
Knackered now so going to have some quiet time on the sofa with an inherited beer and see if I can muster the energy for any carpet steps or competition entering this evening. I'm calling probably not!
Dinner will be mash potato from the freezer with veg and cheese added

Have done a ten minute carpet walk, a survey, cut some of the bread into slices before freezing it (this is a drawn out process due to shoulders and wrists!), entered some comps- today I'm mostly looking forward to winning 24 bottles of wine, although they've promoted it as a year's worth of wine. They must have left some zero's off 😁2

Hmm well the April MSE list has not gone brilliantly... but there's still the rest of today of April, so just going to have to absolutely smash it for a slightly better showing!
Have done admin and tidying and healthy/mse brunch, going to do laundry then get some steps, then tackle something off The Big April List
Right Team Tuppence, can I make this a ludicrously productive day?!
Be nice to go back to bed though 😂2 -
